I loved the opening hunt scene, the fast paced tension as the hunt turned.  Very atmospheric.  The speed with which the poison takes Dean down is frightening - it gets no better than hurt and suffering Dean!! 

The bond of mutual dependance is so evident here, Dean struggling to make it right for Sam even when he's the one in physical pain.  Loved the story, Thanks J.

Ouch, poor Sam, he's taking a hammering and a half this time, he's sounding decidedly broken.  Panicking, sobbing Dean, he's never happy when things go beyond his control and this has certainly gone way beyond that.  

I love those wonderful flashbacks, please keep them coming.  Jane 

Loved the description of the graveyard in the storm and that horrible bodyless head, totally gross.  I'm guessing there's hard times ahead!!

I knew I had a bad feeling about that Old Road....I love the sense of urgency that's crept into the chapter, the clock's ticking and now they're stuck in a ditch!!

That's particularly cruel, spreading the poison whilst you sleep, love it, poor Dean can't even afford to fall asleep now.

Poor Sam, not only is he now hurt, but Dean's got yet another reason to bitch about his driving skills!!

Sure was worth the wait, I can see why you liked this one, we're lurching from one crisis to the next.  Poor Sam's struggling to hold it all together here.  I love Sam taking charge and looking after a hurt Dean, and Dean certainly is hurting.  Your descriptions of the agonies he is going through with these seizures has me holding my breath.  The levels of panic and tension are rising along with the water levels.  I'm so pleased there's another chapter to  read.  Jane

"You may have lost your hope but don't take his."  Poor Dean is suffering so badly here, ready to give up, yet Emma managed to pull him back so beautifully, reminding him that without him, Sam wouldn't want to get out alive. 

Emma's last moments were so touching, "I'm right where I need to be." I had tears in my eyes. 

The journey up the hallway was terrifying, with the swirling currents, pitch darkness when the candle goes under, the buckled floorboards, not to mention Deans' grasping tentacles!!  You conveyed the struggle, the panic, the horror so well, just like a shipwreck.

At least the boys have made it to the attic and a dry quilt.  I just hope bobby's en route with a cure for Dean, cause that boy's in serious trouble - don't we just love it!!

This story is wonderful, I look forward to each and every update, I can't wait to see what happens, although it's always sad when a good story comes to an end.

Great rescue from the roof - Bobby in a skull-painted helicopter - awesome....lol.  That hypodermic filled with yellow liquid jab to the brain had me squirming in my seat, not to mention that primal scream, well at least it did the trick and brought Dean back to us!!

Deans' recovery was comfortingly gentle after the traumas we've been through in the previous chapters and Sam in caring, sharing mode was a delight, I loved the banana, honey and peanut butter sandwich!!

It seems William met a fitting end, although room 418 had me gagging along with the boys.

I'm sorry that you're leaving UnGen, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your beautifully told tales, not to mention your wonderful A/N's.  I will miss them, so I will have to come and hunt them down on FF.net.

Author's Response: I've always had a thing about possessed toys since a nightmare I had as a kid when my Barbies attacked me... grrr... I always watched them extra carefully after that. Aahhh, so brave, so resourceful, so resigned, locking the door to bar the way, rather than escaping to live without Sam. Well, he certainly managed to create havoc and it looks like he'd have taken a good few of the coven with him but YEAH!! John to the rescue.  Wicked cliffie but at least you let John get there before the end. 

It's a lovely thought that his mum would be there right at the end with him, comfort turning to warning when Abigail turned up as a threat.

I don't want this to end but I can't wait to read Dean's reaction to finding Sam's still alive.  I'm still looking forward to John doing some practical work on his anger management issues!!  Great update.  Jane

So Bill and Abigail are in league together.  Maybe Derrick will prove to be the weakest link there.

I think John was very well behaved in the police station - all things considered.  He's not exactly renowned for being overly patient!!

I loved Dean waking up in the dungeon checking out his surroundings before opening his eyes.  The line "Somehow he didn't think that came up in most father-son lectures, but that didn't mean it wasn't good advice.", sums up such a lot.  Great update J.

Oh, I do like the sound of a resurgence of Winchester gumption.....Young Dean, beaten and without any hope for Sammy is almost too much to bear.  We need him to go cause a riot!!  So pleased that Sam's back safe and sound, though a little traumatised, feeling guilty at seven for leaving his big bro. 

I can't wait for Abigail and William to feel the wrath of the Winchesters, maybe put an end to that circle of 13 at the same time.....Great update.  Jane
