I've just finished re-reading this beautiful, heart-wrenching tale, I couldn't review it at first as it left me with emotions reeling.  It really is so desperately sad. 

That's one of the things I love most about the stories posted here, is that they can fill in the missing gaps hinted at but not seen in the TV series.

You covered all the bases here, baring Dean's inner-most soul for  all the world to see.  I cried my eyes out -all over the place actually - but particularly where he is lying in the hospital bed having told Sam what Sam needed to hear, silently sobbing/shaking with no-one to hear... That one will stay with me a long time!!

To get this much pain and angst out of Dean, without a single demon in sight was truly awesome!!  You really took everything away from him this time - even the ability to breathe alone, hands restrained.

I'd just like to thank you for such a roller-coaster ride of the emotions, it's left me feeling shattered.  Excellent stuff!!

Wow, I've only recently found this site so I'm new to reviewing.  This was one of the first stories I have read here.  I absolutely loved it, I read the whole thing in one sitting as I couldn't bear the suspense of leaving it.  The characterisation was spot-on, I loved them as youngsters, the humour was perfect and the tension and storyline were awesome.  Oh, and I think Kerri is a super character and would love to see her againl.  Thank you so much for this excellent story. What a lovely, sweet, absolutely hilarious story, so many images of a four-year old Dean - so innocent and Sam does exasperated so patiently.  I loved the Sammy need's a hug scene, beautifully done.  Thanks for a great read.  J. 

Oh Lord, poor Dean, battered and skewered, odd glow swirling in his eyes and not saving that young boy....the potential here for hurt and guilt ridden Dean is boundless.  I do love hurt Dean....

Incredibly atmospheric description of the bridge with the storm building, I could almost hear that rotten wood creaking and cracking.

Some lovely flashes of Winchester humour amidst all the (equally lovely) pain and suffering.  I can't believe Dean isn't up to eating his M&M's, it must be even more serious than I thought. lol.... Poor Dean, he really is in some serious trouble this time!!

The level of descriptive detail here is so satisfying, your words just spring to life off  the page, it's almost like watching the tale unfold.

So nice to have a gorgeous looking demon for a change - he sounds rather dashing, just a shame about the personality flaws - the tendancy towards torture and total dominance - but hey you cant have everything!!

I loved the idea of Sam hunting whilst at college when he was missing Dean.

Wow, a Seraphim, even if she is exhausted from keeping an eye on the Winchesters, that's some major league back-up!!  Poor Dean, always managing to beat himself up over his perceived failings and poor Sam, fractured.  I guess it's back to the forest......I gotta go find out.  J

OMG NO! I thought it was too good to be true.  You have a rare talent for drawing every last ounce of tension possible out of a tale.  I keep thinking, I'll read one more chapter before bed, but I can't leave it like this.
