Date: 30/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Ohmygosh. I'm officially schmooped out, that was so sweet! LOVED the ending and the family hug between the Winchesters. Too cute! Author's Response: Thank you very much! Sorry I haven't replied to your other reviews yet - I've had the dreaded lurgy this week, and have been crawling home from work and virtually straight into bed! This is the first time this week that I've turned the laptop on. I'm glad I could schmoop you out so successfully. And I'm thrilled that you loved the family hug - such a rarity for the Winchester men, yet we've seen in the show that it's not impossible - re the boys reuniting with their dad in Shadow. I needed a Sam and John moment - strangely enough, since I tell all who are unfortunate enough to listen that I'm not a John fan - lol. But I just needed a little moment between them as father and son, not as drill sargeant and cadet. So the whole one-shot grew around the scene of John showing Sammy how to hold the baby. Like I've said before, my mind's a freaky place at the best of times. Thank you so much for reading, and for letting me know what you thought. I'll reply to your other reviews very soon, I promise. Date: 26/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Bobby is a wise man. I'm gonna miss him. :( Beautifully done! Probably one of my favorite tags to this episode by far! And you do an angsting, wall cracking Sam so amazingly! Loved it! I love Bobby, and I'm going to miss him sorely. I've always thought Bobby was an awesome stand-in dad for the boys, and I was so relieved at the start of season two when I saw the boys spending time at his place after John's death. Thank you very much. I actually had fun - in a challenging way - coming up with the different hallucinations for Sam, and the aftermath of them all. I think we were all just so shocked at the end of that episode when Sam hit the floor so suddenly. I know there was a flurry of tags, and my little discussion group that I was in at the time got in on the act - and we had a ball! I hope that you'll check out the other tags from the group. I don't usually do tags, because I don't like doing stuff that everyone else is doing, but this idea just wouldn't leave me alone. Date: 27/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 *pinches cheek* how sweet! I love Sam's awful singing and Dean's comparison to a 'half dead werecat howlig at the moon.' So cute! :) Love it! I'mso glad you loved your latest dose of schmoop - lol. My intention was to cause a smile and an "awwww" effect, and it sounds like I did. I just wanted the boys to have a quiet little moment in amongst all the stress and angst, etc. Just a wee bit of downtime sappiness. Date: 27/01/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Lovelovelove! You write the Winchesters and Bobby so well! I love it! This is probably one of my favorite episodes of season 6 and you did it wonderful justice. :) Thank you! Sorry - hope I've grabbed all the late replies by now...*blush, blush* It was an awesome episode, wasn't it? For so many reasons, not just for the boys being back in synch with each other and the inevitable confrontation with dear old granddaddy Campbell. I loved Bobby's line to Samuel in response to Samuel's jibe about Bobby being their stand-in father - just awesome. They really did become his boys after John died. I do love Bobby. I love him for what he means to the boys, and for what he does for them. Tough love and wisdom, a sense of grounding and a home for the wandering Winchesters to come back to. Bobby would have to be my favourite supporting character out of the whole seven seasons. Thank you once again - I'm so stoked that you loved this one. It was a long time coming, so I'm doubly glad that it could give you so much enjoyment. Makes me wish I had stumbled upon this sooner while I was full of Christmas cheer. ;) Loved the angst and Sam and the Christmas irony and the little side story about Mary and this wonderful ending in the midst of a tragic time for the brothers. Very awesome! Hi, there, Thought I'd try to sneak another reply in before I have to shut down and crawl off to bed. Thank you so much. And I hope it wasn't too late to stumble across this. I actually thought I'd have to hang onto it till next Christmas, as it just wouldn't pull together before the day. Oh, so glad you loved Mary's backstory and the fact that the boys had stumbled across her again, after saving her as a baby.
