Date: 06/09/07 Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8 I've wondered quite a bit about the type of girl Dean Winchester would settle down with (not that he'd ever really settle down). I think in his case it would be the old opposites attract. I think she'd be strong, adventurous, intelligent and beautiful like Dean, but also kind, gentle and fairly religious. Alicia sounds like this---Dean's perfect mate! I like that Sam answers Layla just by saying Dean is Dean and that she completely understands that. It shows both people know him well enough. How sweet---Sam offering to be Jake's big brother. Author's Response: Thanks Shannondoah! I thought Alicia would be good for Dean as well...he needed a friend and if I was a big romance person, maybe I would have done something more with it. But she created that perfect balance for him. I loved having Layla in here and I feel she does know Dean pretty well, or can at least get a good read on him. I think somewhere in Sam's mind, he always wanted to be a big brother and repay what Dean's done for him.

Date: 14/09/07 Title: Chapter 1: First Impression I read this piece after the second piece so my review may be strange. I like that you repeated certain phrases at the beginning and the end of both pieces. Once again, you've captured the overflowing emotions of a father. Amazing job! Author's Response: I'm really happy that you saw the stuff repeated in both stopries - I purposely wanted them to be similar, so that the significance of both was almost mirrored. Both were defining moments in John's life and for Dean's future. :) |
