Date: 10/09/07 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3 I like the line Dean uses, "your dad said I couldn't cut holes in the floor." I can picture a young Dean and young Kerri devising intricate traps for bad guys. Too funny! I also like the line Sam uses on his Dean that his ideas generally suck. After reading previous stories in this series, I'm so sad about Evelyn and Tom. In the first story I wasn't emotionally invested, but now I am. Evelyn was just like Sam, but she changed, her family changed. It's sad.

The dialogue between the brothers is so natural---their joking, their concern. You do a good job portraying their personalities. Summary: Every 2nd of May just isn't any ordinary day for Dean Winchester. What does he do every 2nd of May? Only Sam knows what Dean does every 2nd of May!

Date: 06/09/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Excellent chapter! You capture the complex moods of the Winchester's very well. I like the way their thoughts explain their relaitonship. Great line! "Dean wasn't a praying man, but he turned into one right in the middle of that street." It was so strong it just caught me. How funny, Dean says he's not a religious man, doesn't believe in Him and then thinks God-knows what condition Sam is in. Sounds to me like he doesn't realize what a believer he is. Author's Response: Thanks Shannondoah! I am so happy that you liked that line. I also think it was very strong and something that defines Dean. And you're right, I don't think Dean realizes what a believer he is. Someone needs to knock some sense into that boy!

In just a few short sentences you described grief so well. Many years ago I lost the man I was going to marry. I felt exactly how you described Sam's feelings. You've done well with this chapter! Date: 06/09/07 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6 I like that you keep us in touch with what's happening to both boys. Although Sam's on the journey Dean is on one of his own, parallel to Sam's. Nice writing technique! Thanks Shannondoah! I figured Sam shouldn't be the only one who goes on a "journey"...I wanted his mom to show his Sam was just as scared as he was when he went off to school. Glad you're liking it!
