I've been hooked on Supernatural from the pilot episode. I've always liked horror.  Give me the good old fashioned goosebumps on your skin, lock the door of your car, afraid to go into your house kind of terror.  And Supernatural gives me a weekly booster shot.

I started writing with the encouragement (and nagging) of ShinyWinchesterGun. My second story became part of series thanks to the support (and threats) of other new-found friends on the site, Glyconut and Synera.

But I think my real passion is reading.  There are so many amazing stories!  And I leave a review for every chapter I read.  The author has put so much of herself/himself into that chapter that I feel it's only fair to reward their good work.  I believe reviews help writers to progress, give encouragement, and determine our Top Tens.

The great thing I've found on this site as opposed to other sites I've visited, is that the people here truly care about each other. They lend support, ideas and kicks in the pants when you need it. I've made lasting friends of all ages and from nearly every continent here. This is my online home.

I'm honored and thrilled to have been voted the Runner Up in 2009 UnGen awards.  Thanks to everyone who gave me a try and read one of my stories.

Bloody?  yahoo!  Love me some hurt Winchesters.  Once again Tree you've sucked me completely into your story.

Letting us into Gordon's head was chilling.  I just assumed he killed his sister out of love for what she once was but your reasoning seems much more appropriate.  I love the cold-hearted, calculating shrewdness with which you portray Gordon.  You had me in awe.

Very strong thoughts!  I think you've captured the strength, confusion and desperate love of Dean Winchester.

Author's Response: Aw thank you!  I was in an extremely angsty place when I wrote this one...!

"And every night he woke to the same sound.  If it wasn’t Sammy it was Daddy.  Every night he woke to the sound of crying."  The sad glimpse into a four-year old child's living nightmare.

"...when Sammy was sure there was a monster in his closet, it had been up to Dean to assure him that there was definitely nothing there. And even if there had been, Dean would never have let it hurt Sammy. Dean would never let anything hurt Sammy."  How seriously he cared for Sammy, even as a child.

As you describe Dean's fear that he would be left alone and the emptiness of his existence when Sam finally does leave, I felt a deeper respect for Dean.  He lived with his fears, knowing that someday they would become reality, all the while providing stability for everyone else.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for that thoughtful review!  I really can't see Dean's early years having been much fun for him really.  It's a wonder he's as reasonably well-balanced as he is!

Summary: Dean is haunted by the flashback from a hunt that took place while Sam was at Stanford. He can't remember the details but what he can't recall can hurt him.

The utburd is an intresting spirit.  I've never heard of it before, but given the circumstances of the deaths it only makes sense there is such a thing.  Thanks for the education!

I agree with Sam, the concept that created the utburd is more horrendous than the creature itself.

You did a great job portraying the way the brothers manipulate one another.

amazing flashback!  So action-packed.  I almost gasped when I read Dean had run into the werewolf's mate.  That damn Winchester luck!

You are such a tease!  Obviously something unusually awful happened during that hunt that Dean suppressed.  My guess is it involved John or Sam.

I love how you write 'that spot' and we know exactly what you mean.  Great technique!

Such exquisite description in the flashback.  I felt like I was there.  I especially like the lines where John's tone scares Dean with its gentleness and "as much a kiss as a promise."  Very touching and dramatic!

Cool bit---the shoe tying thing.  that's the kind of information that personalizes a story and sucks me in.

Oh my stars!  John shot Dean?!!  On purpose?!  (I know---just keep reading and find out.)

I like that after a while the cows are referred to as Sam's cows.

Love the forehead tattoo bit and the one-fingered point!  I can only guess which finger he uses.

What a sad dream/memory.  Poor Dean.

Awww.  No chapter title.

the dialogue between sam and Dean in Dr. Mercer's clinic is a riot!  NO doubt that they're brothers.

"It was true.  Both times."  Priceless lines!

Man, I can relate to Dean.  I hate when you're ill and people keep yammering in your ear.  You just want to whip out a gun and blow their head off.

Lovely horse adage.  You have a way with words!  It's a gift!

Wow!  What an incredible and powerful flashback!  John did try to kill Dean!  (But then you know that.)  No wonder Dean blocked it.

A lot of shockers in this chapter--the suspense is building tremendously.

I thought John shot Dean, but having it confirmed was still startling.

Puking blood---fabulous injury!  His insides must be really messed up from the injury 5 years ago.

Stupendous chapter!!!  The agony is unbearable.  I can't describe how much I enjoyed Dean's misery.

Author's Response: I can't respond as fast as you're reading but i'm glad you like the story!

What a coincidence to find Dr. Mercer working at the hospital.  Okay, that sounds blatantly obvious when I put it like I did---doctor working in a hospital.  but you know what I mean.

I'm glad Sam finally got Dean there!  I was hunched over my computer urging the Impala to go faster and stay on the road.  Tee hee!

The bathroom humor was hilarious---been there, done that, got the ticket stub to prove it.

Why is it no matter who you're dealing with the scariest words in the English language are "I've been thinking."  When my husband say those words I want to run from the house screaming.  You brandish them like a sword!  Great job!

Don't worry about chapters not being filled with action or angst.  I think sometimes the chatty chapters are the best.  They show the depth of the characters relationships by their words to one another and their interaction.  It all comes together to make the story great!

Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying this cause it only gets worse from here. I think you'll like it!!

I can take gore.  I can take pain.  What I can't take is a sick kid sneezing on me!  Even though it happened to Dean I had to go wash my face and hands and spray Lysol on my keyboard.  Disgusting!

Author's Response: Still laughing.......

First the werewolf, then the kid sneezing, then the smells---I can't wait to see where this is going!  Just when I think i'm cresting the top of the coaster I find another stretch  uphill.  I'm holding on so tightly my fingers are leaving imprints imbedded into the safety bar.

Author's Response: Smirking now, cause I know what's gonna happen

Ta to you!!!

Your writing keeps me from losing my mind in the boring (but fulfilling) life of a full-time mother and housewife.  The rebellious teen that I once was (and who still hides within me) loves riding the waves with you, Sam and Dean.

Thanks for all you do to supplement my Prozac!

Author's Response: My prozac is all that keeps me from doing what Dean did. You made the story sound so exciting i may have to go back and read it again!
