 Date: 20/01/12 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 - Heroes and Cowards Branchsuper (on FF.net) said to me that the boys are such great men, have such good morals, strength of character and common sense due to John and the way he raised them. They would not be the men they are today if he was a total failure, and I see you agree, to some extent. He was also a dick, and Dark Side of the Moon gave us a little insight into this side of him.. Author's Response: I love John and I know he loved his boys and tried. He kept them alive and he taught them much, how to be fiercely protective of your family and how to remain brothers, but there is always the flipside, his obsession and neglect. You can't deny he left his boys alone too much and he drove them...Dean especially, and didn't provide them with the validation and comfort of just being kids and who they were individually. Bobby was there to fine-tune them, to LOVE them and ACCEPT them as is. They would not be the men they are today without both John and Bobby, and those men gave them both their good qualities and their foibles. Sam and Dean are not perfect, but they are heroes and they do good. It is mainly themselves that hurt from the factors missing in their youth. Partly losing Mom so young and never having that chance to be kids. Can I drone on, or what? lol Good talk, B.J.

Date: 13/02/12 Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9 - Trust, Respect and Love I agree with your author's notes, wholeheartedly. This chapter brought a tear to my eye. It was exactly how I was picturing it.... I started a story so long ago (another unfinished one on my computer that is clogged with unfinished stories! lol) that is how Bobby met the boys. And of course the cornerstone in that is that Dean didn't trust him one bit. I think you had to earn Dean's trust and then his respect and if you are very fortunate to win his love, well...that's for life! Once that boy welcomes you into his heart, he would never let you go. *sigh* Thanks again, B.J.

Date: 26/02/12 Title: Chapter 10: Chapter 10 - I Remember Bobby I think you summed up Sam's feelings quite nicely...and quite poignantly... Sighhhhhh Author's Response: I always found Sam's relationship with Bobby a bit distant. But I think that's Sam's way, to keep others from seeing what he feared was inside him, that darkness he couldn't control. Bobby would have none of that. He loved Sam and he treated him like he needed to be treated, just like he did with Dean. I really loved him when he told Sam that he was never gonna cut him out of his life. Yay, Bobby... Date: 26/02/12 Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - Love and Loss It had to cut, deep, to loose his 'sons'. it had to cut him deeper to know they would loose him, thast he wasn't there to protect or help them. Then again, he would have died for them a million times over... Author's Response: That is our Bobby, a fierce man and a fierce lover. I still get goosebumps hearing him when he said they were 'my boys!'. Yay, Bobby!

Date: 24/12/11 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I love the 'evil ferret' desription, that woud so fit a few people I know! I'm not a fan of James bond, having only ever watched one movie, and that was about 25 years ago, so I don';t know if you wee true to that genre or not, but cute story, and I loved the promise at the end... I'd like to see that in the real series!! Lots of luck in the challenge, too! Author's Response: Hi there, thanks for leaving a few words, very much appreciated, Bambi and Thumper are in Diamonds are Forever, and Rosa Klebb is in From Russia with Love, It may help a little to know their characters from those films but the story should work ok on its own as well, hopefully :s - lol. Happy New Year… Aww, thank you! Sorry I'm late in responding - real life, Christmas, brain-baking heat... I'm stoked that you enjoyed the story so much. Date: 13/02/12 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - Numb So you think, had he let her go.... that he would have tried to find her again, one day...or just imagined she was living a life of her own? Oh, interesting thought! I don't know...maybe. I imagine he'd run into her at some point. I think he'd always be receptive to her finding him, there for her if she needed him. But I think mainly, he'd not look for her. That if she did renounce her heritage and start over, that he would respect that and want to let her live a normal life without the entanglements being a Winchester involves. How could she possible have developed the skills to judge this, to weigh the offer against what she knew? How could she even understand death?

Date: 26/02/12 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4 - Beauty and the Beast You know, I think Emma's mother told her that he WAS a good man, she could see that, and knew if they used that line it would catch his attention/curiosity. That desperate hope he has that he may well be a 'good man'. Even though he thinks he's not... Author's Response: I don't know...I'd like to think that Emma's mom said he was a good man, but I don't think the Amazons think ANY man is a good man! I think they are used to using men, lying and finagling their way with them then killing them once they get what they want. I think at this point Dean really believes he isn't a good 'man'. I think he knows he's a good hunter, but man, no, he doesn't believe that. Maybe one day he will... B.J.

Date: 06/03/12 Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5 - Conflict and Duty He's such a sad, complicated man. Anyone, confronted with a child like this would have had trouble dealing, but for a man that places family first? I love when we get the huge emotional scenes from Jensen, the full-on crying and breakdowns, but I'm appreciating this more subtle slide into anguish. The emptiness and the longing speak volumes. This was so unjust, for a man like Dean who always values family, to spawn a demon child. But he did handle it the best anyone could. Many would have dismissed her, not accepted that being a sperm donor was the same as fathering a child. Dean assumes responsibility, always has, always will. She was his daughter, under the most unusual circumstances, but still his. Take care, B.J. Summary:

Date: 12/02/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 I am just worried we are being set up with the "theyyyyy'rrreee baaacckkkk" to get our hearts ripped out again. Of course, I do love that.... Author's Response: Oh, I definitely know our hearts will be ripped out again before the season is through! I don't mind the dark, seems to reflect on much that is going on in my own life right now, and I love seeing Dean struggle with his grief because I know he is strong and will show me the way through. And I absolutely LOVE the worry and love Sam has for his brother, that fear that he might lose him and how I know he will fight for him too. But I also can't deny I love the comedic episodes and just seeing the brothers being brothers. I love that Supernatural can meld the two and show us all aspects of the Winchesters' lives.
