I've come to realize that reviews are like gold. I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your stories and look forward to each new one/update. So far, I'm reallly enjoying the ride with this one. You have such a mastery of the boys. When I read, it's like watching an episode. I feel the angst and the heartbreak, the fear and anxiety. Wonderful job. I can't wait for the next chapter. Oh and I just have to say I loved Dean in the coffee shop. That was so classic. Keep up the good work. You guys rock!
Author's Response: britany -- so great to see you! Thanks for letting us know you're reading and what you think of the stories. Lurkers are readers and so you're much loved, but reviews are better than chocolate (and I LOVE chocolate), so your comments are appreciated more than you know. Love that you feel like you're watching an episode -- it plays like a movie in our minds and that's what we're going for when we write, so that comment makes us VERY happy. Hope to see you again and that you enjoy what's to come! Best, GS and SJ

Wonderful job as usual. I loved the fight between the brothers and how Dean just can't hide from Sam. It breaks my heart everytime I think about what Dean went through after Sam died. You two brought me to tears reading about it. So the mystery deepens. Are Dean and Sam going to be in time to save anybody or will they end up having to save themselves? I'm so hooked. Can't wait for the next chapter. On the the night club! Author's Response: Hmmm... chocolate covered Winchesters... would they melt in your mouth, not in your hand? *grins wickedly* Shame on me. This is a family show. Ahem. Thanks so much for your comments! So glad you reacted to the fight -- that was a hard balance to find between angst and anger. And your questions about saving lives... will have to wait for answers. :) Hee. Thanks again -- look forward to seeing you back. GS and SJ

And when Dean fell through the floor of the burning building, I felt the fire lick my legs just like I know he did. I was right there with the boys. Glad Dean decided not to self destruct. I hope he's on the path to pulling it together. Wonderful chapter. I couldn't put it down until I was finished [I print them out] You two definately desearve some dark chocolate covered Winchesters for this one....and yes they do melt in your mouth! Bravo! I can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Hooray! It was *definitely* all about heat. :) And pressure. And the threat of it all burning down... ;) So glad you enjoyed this and we hope you like what's to come! GS and SJ PS You had me laughing with that "melt in your mouth" comment for quite some time. Thanks for that! Gaelic

Date: 28/10/07 Title: Chapter 6: Saturday: Envy Excellent chapter you two and well worth the wait. I did a little happy dance when I clicked on the site and saw that you had chapter six up. My five year old son thought I was crazy but enjoyed dancing along. LOL! You really like to beat the heck out of our boys. I don't know how they can get up and keep going in the morning. First Sam taking care of Dean after the fire. Then Dean taking care of Sam after the confrontation with the fallen angel/Bob. Loved that it was Bob btw. Sam's crisis of faith just broke my heart. I could almost feel something breaking inside of him... and the way that Dean relies on Sam's faith to get him through. We've heard him say that Sam has enough faith for the two of them. What happens if that faith has dwindled or dissappeared? I hope that dosn't happen. So now, battered and bruised in more ways than one, our boys have to defeat an angel. I can't wait to see how this all ends. Fantastic job!
SJ - congratulations on your upcomming wedding day. God Bless. Have a wonderful time on your honeymoon! Author's Response: Thanks so much, britany! How great was it to see this review?! :) SJ is going to be so excited to see these well-wishes. :) Thanks for that, too. I love that you danced when you saw that the story had been updated. *GRIN* You're right -- we do beat the crap out of them. I'm not sure what the attraction is to hurting them, but we all seem to have it, and unapologetically so. Seeing them overcome the odds, struggle through the pain, and come out on the other side as heroes... toe. curl. Faith can't be lost forever. Life demands some faith just to keep breathing. Doesn't specify what that faith is in, though... We hope you like Sunday's chapter. It's a culmination of a lot of planning and design. Thanks so much for reading and for spending time with us! Best, GS and SJ

I felt the brother's pain and their love for eachother. I had huge tears just coursing down my cheeks when I read. Yes, I'm a sap! I can't help it. These boys just break my heart every time.
The power of Faith is amazing. I felt it was so fitting that Dean's faith in Sam was what pulled Sam back from the darkness. Dean may question God but he never falters when it comes to Sam. There is an amazing balace between these two. They are eachother's streangth. When one seems to falter, the other provides the will or way to go on. It's a relationship born out of something so tragic yet it's beautiful to behold. Wonderful job ladies. I'm rivited! Can't wait for the epilogue Love, Brit Author's Response: Believe me, Brit, we're sappy right there with you. We were both moved to tears as we wrote our respective parts of this chapter. Thanks so much for commenting on the power of Faith. We agree with you! And the balance between the brothers... so fantastic. I think you gotta believe in *something*... be that a higher power or your baby brother, belief will get you through the dark times. Thanks again! GS and SJ

I love your stories and I dont care how long or short they are, not that your shorts are really short. Hee! Oh boy! You open with pleanty of heat yet leave us with our hearts aching for the boys. You have me wondering what the girl's story was. Why was she so sad? It made me sorry that Dean didn't get her name. Kudos to you for having the guts to write the steamy stuff. Don't lose yourself to save me. Don't carry my weight. That line just breaks my heart. I can picture Dean thinking this upon seeing this harsher side of Sam. Dean dosn't want his brother to lose his innocence but it's this new resolve in Sam that I feel will save Dean. Talk about your rock and hard place! Thank you for sharing your stories with us. I also look forward to reading what you have to say at tvguide. Just wanted to let you know.
Author's Response: Ah! WOW! Thanks so much for this review and for mentioning what I say over at tvguide.com -- hee. That just makes me grin really big. It makes me so nervous to post there, but I love this show, these characters, and sometimes I can't help myself. "Dean dosn't want his brother to lose his innocence but it's this new resolve in Sam that I feel will save Dean." Well said. Seriously, I couldn't agree with you more. I sincerely hope we don't lose one brother to save the other -- through death or destruction. They are a unit and should remain thus. Thanks so much for this review and for taking time to read. SJ and I are working on Bloody Sunday's "Sunday" chapter and if all goes well, we hope to have it posted by the 20th. Kinda sucks when life gets in the way, huh? :) Take care of you, Gaelic Summary:

I just wanted to let you know again how much I love your stories. You have such a handle on our boys. If they were real, I would say that sometimes you see right into their heads and hearts. I can't wait to see how this one ends. My heart is already in my throat... THe staircase scene... ugg! I'm really looking forward to the rest of your sories once you can print them.
Oh yeah... I just had to mention this line... Dude, you friggin' kissed me! Hee! You made me laugh outloud when I read that. I was just waiting for Dean to put two and two together and say something. You didn't let me down. Author's Response: Aw, britany, you humble me. Thanks so much for your comments. I'm so glad you can see the boys as I do. :) Hee. And I LOVE that you liked the staircase scene. That was one of those scenes that I got a bit lost in as I wrote, so I'm really glad it came off well. Hee -- thanks for calling out Dean's "kissed me" line... I just couldn't leave that alone. GS

I always felt that John ripped out part of Dean's heart with that deal and those wispered words. I know he did it to save him, that he did it out of love but it took Dean a long time to realize that for himself. John knew that Sam needed Dean, that in eachother they would find salvation. Once again you brought tears to my eyes when Sam covered Dean's heart with his hand. I love hows Sam's touch, presence or voice seem to ground Dean. Can't wait to read In the Light. I loved Ramble On and thought Abe was a great character. Until then. Have a great Holiday! Author's Response: Brit -- thanks so much for your reviews! I'm with you, John knew that Sam needed Dean, but I still hurt for Dean through so much of Season 2. Not like it's stopped in Season 3, though! Ha! Thanks for your comments, and though it sounds evil, I'm glad I made you teary. Means I did my job. :) Merry Christmas! Gaelic Summary:

What a wonderful treat to come here today and find that you had started a new story. I always love seeing the boys through someone else's eyes. The return of Abe is perfect. He feels like an old friend. His presence is like Bobby's. You can tell he cares for them. I'm hoping that his presence will help them heal. They are so battered Soul and body. I love how they dearly need the rest but probably won't get it because someone needs help. Oh boys. *sigh* There is nothing they can't fight together. So... I'm already hooked. Can't wait until the next chapter. Love, Brit Author's Response: Hi Brit -- love to hear that you were savoring SBS. And really love that you've stopped by to give In the Light a go. And you're right... we can't ever seem to let them rest. Even though I do love to watch Dean sleep... Hope you enjoy the next chapter! Thanks for reading! Gaelic

Date: 06/02/08 Title: Chapter 2: See Gaelic, This chapter was fantastic. Loved your Cliffe. I have this immage of an old cowboy movie in my head... When you see they guy's hat floating down the river. Dum, dum dum!!! Oh and how Sam was going to jump in after Dean. Thank goodness for Abe pulling him back.
I felt so badly for Dean when Sam broke his morning serentity with his need to talk but that scene was just so powerful. You could just feel the electricity in the air. Then the scene between Sam and Abe just about broke my heart. Abe recognized and understood Sam's pain. I love that he listened then added his advice. Then Abe told Sam just how much Dean loved him. I think Sam forgets sometimes. So.... what is after our boys this time besides the idiots from the bar? Can't wait to find out.
Author's Response: Hi Brit! Thanks for reading and taking time to review. I'm so glad you enjoyed this chapter! Working on Chapter 3 now, but... as for what's after them besides the idiots from the bar... you'll have to wait a few more chapters for that reveal... hang in there! Thanks again for your kind words -- I love that you connected with the characters to feel emotions as you read. Best, Gaelic

Date: 13/02/08 Title: Chapter 3: Look Gaelic, This chapter is so moving. Dean saving Sal even after the guy tried to kill him.... Lobo saving Dean... Abe spurring Sam on. I felt like I was racing through the darkened woods with them, trusting Abe to find Dean and save him. Then I'm on the bank of the river. I can feel the cold comming off Dean and Sam's desperation to keep his brother.... the way Abe wants to help but his wariness of Sam. Does he sense the power Sam holds rippling just under the surface? And Sam held Dean all night. It always breaks my heart knowing that the only time they touch is when one of them is in grave danger or dying. I guess they wouldn't be the brave, stoic warriors if they did otherwise. Wonderful, wonderful chapter. I can't wait for the next. Brit Author's Response: Brit -- thank you so much for this review. I'm so pleased that you're enjoying it. Everything you called out made me smile. And how you picked up on Abe's "sense" of Sam... *grin* Hope you like how that plays out. I'm working on Chapter 4 now and hope to have it posted soon. GS

Date: 24/02/08 Title: Chapter 4: Appear Gaelic, First let me say YAY!!!!! Chapter four!!!! Then let me say HOLY CRAP! You've certainly outdone yourself this time. You've left me reeling. Oh Sammy!
There was so much going on in this chapter. I loved the gore. Very creepy and well done. Emotions were high with each character experiencing their private pain through the powerful influence of the Ikiryo. I love how Sam has made a study of Dean and the way he can read his brother so well. The way you wrote that first scene in Maggie's kitchen was beautiful. How Sam knew just how much Dean was hurting. How he just held on and did his best to distract him from the pain. It's instictive the way one usually knows what the other needs and how they are always there for eachother. Abe was still looking at Sammy funny. Watch out for your brother. Don't let him out of your sight. Was he channeling BDW again to get Dean moving or does he know something that even Sam and Dean don't know? And I know this is such a fangirl thing, but you had the brothers touching a lot. It makes me happy just reading it. So, how many one pound bags of dark chocolate M&Ms can I send you for chapter five??!!!! I'm dying already. That thing just can't have Sam! Don't worry.... I'm hanging. Brit Author's Response: I'm glad you said that it made you happy that the brothers were touching a lot -- I know it's totally a girl way of writing, but I think that despite the fact that they're *guys* and *guys* aren't into that touchy-feeling-self-help-yoga-crap... they're also *brothers* and they have been through Hell together and are still going... and I think that sometimes the power of touch can be an amazing medium for healing. Especially when you don't make a big deal about it -- y'know? Glad you noticed that Abe is still looking at Sam oddly -- even though he spends most of his alone time with Sam (Maggie's kitchen for food, computer room for research, etc.). There is a reason for it, and I hope it makes sense when it comes out. Dark chocolate M&Ms are heaven. I've got one open next to me right now, in fact. I am working on Chapter 5 and will post it as soon as I can finish it and get it beta'd. Life is... well, life. :) Thanks so much for reading! Gaelic

Date: 05/03/08 Title: Chapter 5: Stare Gaelic, That darn RL does have a habit of getting in the way sometimes but fear not. This was another great chapter. I can't wait to see/read the rest of the movie in your head. I think my favorite part of this whole chapter is Sam's inner conversation with the Ikiroh. He's not going to give up becuase Dean said to fight. He sees the light because Dean is his light. It's damn hard seperating those two and the Ikiroh will not succeed. Oh but the boys are in bad shape. It's like seeing them in the Michigan woods all over again. Abe is faced with saving them both. He loves them like Bobby does. The two of them will find a way.
I can't believe that I didn't catch on to the fact that Sal and his goons were the ones resposible for raping Claire. *smacks head* I think I know what Maggie's plan is going to be. We shall see! I'm still hanging. It's always a treat to come here and find the story updated. Brit Author's Response: Hey Brit -- thanks so much for this. I really liked knowing what your favortire part was... I really hope you like what is to come. I'll be interested to see what you think Maggie's plan is... I was really hoping that readers would see the overlapping images of Abe facing the same situation with the boys here as he did in Ramble On. Thanks for spending time with me. :) Gaelic

Date: 19/03/08 Title: Chapter 6: Glimpse Gealic, I finally figured out who Abe is to me. Have you ever seen any of the Free Willy movies? There is a Native American character named Randolf. He's my Abe! It didn't hit me until my son was watching the movie last night. Funny how the subconsious works!
This chapter was just WOW!!! Yay Sammy! for having the strength to rid himself of the Ikyroh and I can't think of a better person for it to attack.... but now what? It sure ate through Sal fast and mighnt I say EEEEEWWW! *Bites nails* Now Sammy can take care of Dean and Bobby's there! So far, I love the way you write Bobby, so true to character. Poor Dean. He's so hurt. How much more can our poor boy take? Yet he always wins in the end. I wasn't expecting Yeats to die. Did the guilt make him kill himself or was it Claire? I'm looking forward to reading more of Maggie's story. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Brit Author's Response: Your Abe is August Shellenberg and is pretty darn close to my Abe, who in my mind is "played" by Graham Greene (from Dances with Wolves). His image is on the far right of the banner bulletbabe created for the story. I love that you have an image in your head -- that's awesome! :) As far as Yeats... you'll have to read to find out. If I do it right, all will be explained in the end... I'm glad you're looking forward to Maggie's story. And yeah, Dean... our consumate hero, yeah? He will take more... because that's how I see him... but you're right, he always wins in the end. And that's why we love him. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! I love to see you name in my inbox! Gaelic

I have three little ones and sometimes I don't know where I'll find the time to read yet you find the time to beat real life back and share these amazing stories with everyone. Thank you. : ) OK on to Sam and Dean... I'm still getting over a bad cold so I'm gonna go with the hilight review this time. I love how Dean would know Sam in the dark and how you reuse the line for Sam in regards to Dean. I love the Here, get dressed line. We all know how Dean dosn't like to go anywhere naked. Hee! I liked how Abe, who in a way was supposed to be an anchor for the boys, begins to doubt why they are doing what they do. It's so human. The bathroom scene was just perfection. I love when the boys get it all out on the table. The way they say I love you, don't leave me without saying the words. *sniffle* Silent communication between the boys when they decide to stay and fight.... *Hearts!* It was nice and a little heartbreaking to hear Maggie and Bobby's backstory. I loved that Bobby admitted how much the boys really meant to him. I like that the show hit on that topic as well. This line is beautiful... You said it yourself. We're all that's left. We believe in eachother, we'll make it through this... This hunt?... This life. That gets me right in the heart every time I read it. The confrontation with the Ikiryoh... Dean's the last man standing and he takes it out. He really is my hero! Then the silent tears into his brother's chest at the end... guh! I got you, brother, I won't let go... tears streaming down my face. Wonderful chapter! I can't wait for chapter eight except then it will be over. *Sniffle again* [not from the cold] Love, Brit
Author's Response: *sends Brit some virtual Irish chicken soup and a smile* I hope you feel better soon!! Colds are no fun. :( Thanks for taking time to read and to leave me such a wonderful, detailed review even while not feeling well! I'm honored, lady. :) And I love, too, how you saw into their hearts with this... the way they have of showing each other they love each other without saying the words. Although... I kinda wish they'd say the words once in awhile. Silly boys. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the end scene. I felt that while writing it. Left me a bit gutted. The next part has been started and I am eager to finish it and post it to see if you enjoy the final chapter. Thanks so much for staying with me and for reading. Means the world to me. Gaelic

I'm glad you're feeling much better and thank you for your kind words when I was under the weather. :) What a wonderful way to end this fantastic story. I had tears in my eyes almost the entire time. Oh these boys just break my heart and you write them so perfectly. I felt everything. Carry On Wayward Son... just embodies our boy's journey. After reading it in your story, I'm wondering if we will hear it again in two weeks. There's another song that kept playing in my head as I read this story. It's called My, My, My by Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty. My, my, my. Let your bright light shine. Let your words live on far beyond this life... beyond this life. Hold onto anything. Everything's over and done. Has the fear taken over you? Tell me. Is that all you want to make up you life? Time after time, you're fallin' behind. Hold onto me and never leave. Forever be what you mean to me right now. Don't you feel better now? That's only part of the song but I couldn't get it out of my head while I was reading. If you haven't heard it, you should give it a listen. To me, it just fits. As always, thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with us. I feel so privilaged to get the chace to read your stories and let you know how much I enjoy them. I can't wait for new stories and hope to "see" [imagine quoty fingers!] you over at tvguide.
