I cannot wait for the phone call about Sam jumping in the pit or being souless. Great job I'm so glad you like this (I was a little doubtful.) Author's Response: Hello, Gayle, Well, thank you very much. That made my day. I've been sitting on this one for a couple of months, but just couldn't get my mind around finishing it off. It was nice to play back in season one and pre-series - life was so much simpler for the boys back then. They still had their dramas - they wouldn't be our boys if they didn't - but they were much less battle-weary and scarred. That's not to say I won't play in season eight and enjoy it just as much - all that lovely angst is such wonderful grist for the writer's mill. But it was like taking a step back and catching a much-needed breath, playing in season one again. I will keep writing, I promise. Not as prolifically as I've been, sadly, but the ideas are there, the muse is hiding around here somewhere, and I need the release that writing brings.
