Leaving Dean had to be one of the hardest things Sam had ever done in his life but he needed to figure out who he was and try to tame the war he had going on inside before he tried to fight in the one going  on around him. Set in Sam's point of view, follow him through his emotions and interesting people he might meet along the way, even some who may be just as lonely as he is. However, Sam soon realizes that sometimes goodbye is a second chance.

For new readers these are Jay's E-mails to Eva, Jay tells the true tale about how she came across the Winchester brothers in a series of emails to her friend Eva.

After a run in with the Trickster leaves Sam a bit disadvantaged, the two hunters are forced to track the demigod down before he'll reverse what he did. But as Dean finds himself worrying about his brother for a whole new set of reasons, Sam's current condition might end up driving them both insane.

Leaving Nebraska, Sam and Dean run into more than righteous federal agents on their way to Baltimore. They cross paths with people who end up dragging them head first into the "real world". Kicking and screaming....

This is the sequel/second half of Tricks of the Trade.

The story describes the culmination of the last 8 months during which Sam has sucumbed to the darkness within him and become the leader of the dominions of evil. He and Dean now face their final bitter and bloody confrontation.
