    Then: Sam and Dean investigate a pair of murderous demons. Yeah, so that’s not surprising. Only another pair of hunters “of a sort” is tracking the same demons. They’re all after the same thing: the keys to a mythical pool that can open a gateway to Hell. Or Heaven, depending on who controls the keys.

 Sometimes it was best to lay low.  But boredom is a hungry affliction,  and Dean Winchester had to feed his need for distraction.  He had no choice.

No spoilers.  Set in an earlier, simpler timeframe.

The Winchester brothers return to one of Dean's old high schools where they believe a job could be waiting for them. To Sam it's just an ordinary hunt, despite the janitor's uniform he has to grudgingly don, but as Dean begins to allow memories he had buried nearly ten years ago to resurface, he can't help but relive the past. He feels something familiar about the evil they are hunting, and Dean soon realizes that what he thought had been destroyed all those years ago has now returned for more.

Pre-series. Dean is in Palo Alto checking up on Sam when Jess accidentally hits him with her car in the middle of a torrential rain storm. Much Hurt/Sick Dean and Caring!Sam.

Six year old Sammy faces a problem when everyone in his class has to make cards for Mother's Day. But when he remembers the past week, when Dad was gone and he and Dean were left alone, hungry and vulnerable, he finds the answer.

Sammy may not have a mom, but he does have an awesome big brother!

Drama, suspense, brotherly shmoop, and a healthy dose of hurt/comfort all around for good measure!

The children of hunters are being kidnapped, held hostage by demons in an attempt to stop the hunters hunting them.

Sam is kidnapped, taken violently in the night. The promise of his death hanging over John's head.

How will he, and the other children escape, when the hunters are to afraid to hunt?
