6.11 Appointment in Samarra tag - Dean and Death talk further. It was unsettling being in the presence of Death, so close to a Being who could end him with a touch.  Dean was simply a toy to him, an insect, and yet there was something in Death's eyes when he looked at him, something within his tone that spoke of more.

Best-selling short story author Dean West had a seemingly normal life until a story came out that changed it forever. His father, John, was accused of the murder of his mother, Mary Campbell-Winchester, in a terrible fire that until then had been considered an accident. Suddenly Dean’s life became complicated and mysterious as he was forced to doubt everything he knew and dredge up old, forgotten memories to tell the world the truth about what really happened on the night Mary Winchester was killed.

“You can’t believe the crap you hear in newspapers,” Dean explained when asked why he wrote this tell-all story down and published it. “‘A source close to whoever- I mean where do they get this stuff? The only people who know anything are me and Sam and my dad. You want answers, you ask us, not some hokey ‘witness’. I just want people to know the truth and not some half-assed version with half the details screwed up.”

So Dean ditched his usual short stories in favor of writing a novel-length book of what he calls ‘The only version that isn’t a load of bull.’  “You can’t fit this in a short story,” he said. “Short stories have to be cut down, most of the story taken out besides the major details. This story really happened and I’m not gonna start cutting stuff.”

The confessional he penned is titled 'Implicated' and will be available in stores this March.

Dean takes ill after the boys last job in Stratton, Nebraska.

Ruby arrives and Sam finds that she has a way for him to save his brother but can Sam do to Dean what she is telling him he must and will Dean forgive him if he does?

TM7 tag. Envy was taunting Sam.  I know things.  Sam looked up and saw fear in Dean’s eyes.  Not from the danger of facing the seven deadly sins personified.  No.., Dean feared something else, something more.  Sam shook at the realization.  Dean feared the truth. 

He felt like he was betraying Dean by allowing this monster to defile his good name and all the great accomplishments of his life, and a part of him wanted to bust the demon’s jaw himself for daring to speak Dean’s name.  But a part of him needed to know and Dean wasn’t talking.  It was sordid and unsavory and so very wrong on so many levels… but God help him, he needed to know.
