December 2009 - Almost three years to the day since I first plucked up the courage to post a piece of fanfiction (on another site) I have just seen my first original novel go live on Amazon. When my proof copy came I was both enthralled by the experience of seeing my name on the cover of an actual book - with my words inside it - and relieved to discover there were no glaring errors! If anyone would like to take a look, here is the link:

http://www.amazon.com/Bonds-Destiny-Michaela-Ince-Gilmore/dp/1449907806/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260564727&sr=1-4

This is the summary of the book itself: Sometimes you have to decide just how far you will go to do the right thing and what price you are willing to pay. Two worlds collide - literally - when brothers Thomas and Nathan McCleer find themselves torn from their own reality during an archaeological dig on a remote Scottish island. Trapped in a place that feels as familiar as it does alien, they find themselves thrown into the middle of a war that could well be the death of them. As out of their depth as they have ever been, both must decide whether to stay and fight with the people who have become their friends or try to find a way home. The question is, will their bond survive or will the decisions they are each forced to make tear the brothers apart forever?

I'm hugely nervous and terrified of getting awful reviews for it, but nonetheless I am just a little proud to see it up there. I would like to thank while I'm here anyone who took the time to leave a review for any of my stories. Without that encouragement I might never have plucked up the courage to try my hand at writing my very own characters and whilst the fanfiction thing might not have turned out to be a huge success for me I will always have fond memories of the experience and the people I met because of it..
