When I first fell onto the fanfiction bandwagon, it was all about Duran Duran. The title was Last Chance on the Stairway, and, yes, that dates me. But I managed to come up with allusions featuring pepperoni that proved I was not — as my grandmother believed — destined for the convent.
This fortunate realization made, I moved on to college and left the collective body of work known as "The Duran Duran Stories" behind me. And it was good. Until Erik Kripke came up with Supernatural, and I found myself falling onto that bandwagon again. Sadly, the lure of the Winchesters has proven too strong to deny. Several AUs and one shots later, all I can say is:
Damn you, Eric Kripke.
I should note that I write with OCs. The structure of the show lends itself to their introduction. Sadly, however, I seem to be cursed by one-shot ideas that turn into a series. I write more het than anything else in the fandom and moderate a het challenge community at livejournal called spn-het-love; I also write gen, though the stories usually have OCs in them as well. Just a fair warning.
And, man, now I wish I had the time to go back and rewrite some of the earlier stories. At least you can see my evolution as a writer in "Strange Angels." *face palms*
