OMG !!!!!!! how did I miss this lol.

I'm new on here & this must be the funniest thing I ever read. I could just see Dean in his little elf oufit.

hmmmmm.................   Now that's an image I would love to wake to lol :)

While reading this, I could see everything going through my mind. I would LOVE !! to see this on the show or made into a movie.

Love the way Sam & Dean pick on John with taking the pics on the phone.

Then John & Sam continue to pick on Dean about his oufit, all through the story. :)

Mind you, that Jeannie & her obession with those  DAMN !!! bells. Dean had the right idea to shut them up. lol

I would certainly watch & tape it. Just to see Jensen & Jared in those elf outfits lol

I know alot of people here in Australia who would not miss it.

Author's Response:

I have a big, old grin on my face.  Thanks for that!  I absolutely loved writing this and it did all come from that first image of Dean in an elf suit.  Add in John as Santa, and you really can't lose.

I simply let my imagination go wild and take them all on this crazy, fun adventure.  I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  I too would love to see them play dress-up.

Jensen is so willing to surrender to the absurd and make a fool of himself, and yet I hope a little of Dean's tenacity and chutzpah shone through too.  They did solve the case and make for a fairly happy ending.

Glad you found my story.  Take care, B.J.

I totally can picture Sam dressed as an elf, for some reason! Liked that we got back to Winchester business in the real world. It was a nice thought for Dean to sing, since we know he can. To me, you redeemed yourself with the lst chapter and the sweet ending.

Author's Response:

Thanks, glad I ended up on the positive side.  I had to let Sammy in on the fun and let him play elf.  Oh, what I wouldn't give to see that family portrait!

I actually worried at the time I wrote this that I wasn't being "funny" enough in this last chapter and was too serious and tender in the emotional moments, but then again, I write what I want to see and hopefully the readers will enjoy it too.  Most did.  I am glad you liked the ending and hung in thru the entire story.

Until next time, take care, B.J.

I love the macho, stern but-still-loves-his-boys John. Don't care for this wimpy version of John. Still too goofy for me, even tho I adore shrek. Sigh...

Author's Response:

Again, sorry this wasn't to your taste.  I too love John in his gruff, lovable true ways, but this was a fun story where I just played up his playfulness and let him take a break from all the seriousness.

Goofy was the middle name of this story with me totally throwing out all caution and just taking the wild ride.

I am glad you kept reading tho, many would have just stopped.  Later, B.J.

I liked the story until it veered into Toontown, sorry. I felt like I had just popped in my ancient video of Roger Rabbit, which I didn't much care for after the initial fun wore off - fast.  Pleeeease say it goes back to good old Winchester machismo or something not of the cartoon ilk!!!

Author's Response:

Really sorry you didn't like the cartoon action 'cause I had a blast writing it and as far as I know, most liked it as something different and fun.

If you didn't like Roger Rabbit then there'd be no reason for you to like this part of my story.  I'm glad you kept reading tho and I got back to something you did like.

Thanks for reviewing, B.J.

Reviewer: nightchills (Signed) · Date: 15/04/08 08:18 PM · On: Chapter 4 - Blue Christmas

Never seen any killer calves on a guy, not really. Course, I tend to look further up...To their muscled thighs! (yes, even higher, too. I am a girl, after all)

Author's Response:

Actually the killer calves thing came from my oldest nephew who had a girl stalking him in H.S. because of his muscular calves...  seriously! She asked to feel them at prom.

It made me take notice and I did then note that when the football team was lined up facing away from the stands, a lot of big, burly guys have skinny little calves, but not my two nephews.  Nope, they both are very athletic and all that vertical jumping in basketball sure does build up the calf muscles.

I hate to admit it, but I don't think I coulda ever come up with something so obscure without first hand knowledge!  LOL

Thanks for reviewing, B.J.

Thought this was great, funny and some nice brother interaction that sounded like them.

Author's Response: Thanks, this one was a lot of fun to write and I love writing the brotherly bantering.  Later, B.J.

Oh .. my ... gawd!! The Joe Walsh references had me in stitches. Working in all those Eagles song references was brilliant!! I haven't read the other chapters yet, but I'm pretty sure this one will still be my favorite. This story is definitely going into my favorites list! Hee hee heheeee.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reviewing on an older story, so many don't and I loved hearing you enjoyed it!

I absolutely love the Eagles and it was such a hugh thrill and challenge to reference as many song titles and lyrics as I could.  Totally a blast!

And what I wouldn't give to have Joe Walsh guest on the show and ride the bus with Dean... elf suit or not!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the chapters half as much as I loved writing them.  Take care, B.J.

ROCKS!!!!!!

This one the best stories I've read on this site, funny, no hilarious the whole freakin' way through, what a genius. Wow, loved the whole thing, love stories that don't stick to the m.o...yes supernatural is about beasts etc, but we can also have fun with the boys.

You created the perfect christmas story, B.J...Schelz reccomended this story coz I'm new on the site and she has got major taste! I can't stress how much I like this story, freakin love Shrek!!! And don't even get me started on Jessica and Roger rabbit, childhood heroes!

And the end, with Mary....absolutely blew me away. This fic goes in my favorites list. You rock!

DRU

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Dru!

What a wonderful review, really made my day!  Yeah, it is real easy to write the angst with all the Winchesters have been thru and Dean's snarky comments are always  fun to write, but this story was a total blast to write from start to finish. And it was a great pleasure to have them enjoying themselves and having fun (once Dean got past the humiliation of his elf suit! LOL)

All it took was imagining Jensen as Dean in that little elf suit and it seems like the whole story wrote itself.  Put these Winchesters in an insanely ridiculous situation and watch them go!

Thanks again, so glad you enjoyed it.  Have a very Merry Christmas!  Take care, B.J.

Reviewer: fantasycatcher (Signed) · Date: 10/12/07 05:35 PM · On: Chapter 11 - Deck the Halls

I'm soooo sorry hun for this late review.

I need a slap on the wrist sometimes, ask Jude, I'm sure she'll tell ya. lol

This was the perfect ending to a perfect christmas story B.J...

Beautiful vision of all the Winchesters together for christmas.  So glad you gave Dean some self worth for christmas!!! And the part  with Mary was the sweetest thing. Loved this story to bits.

Standing ovation from me to you (Hugs)

I hope this all made sense. lol

Merry christmas hun:)

Schelz

Author's Response:

Aw gee, thanks so much!  I love a happy ending and the boys so rarely get one.  We'll see how much my xmas story differs from Kripke's version this Thursday.  Duh!  He can have his blood and gore and frights just as long as we get some good brotherly moments.  I can't wait.

You have the Merriest Christmas and thanks for all the wonderful reviews on this story.  Much appreciated.  Take care, B.J.

Hilarious!  Carrots and ranch dip, fairies calling Tinkerbell a bitch...too much!  I thought I would die laughing!

Author's Response: Thanks, this story was loads of fun to write.  Roger and the rest of the toons were so much fun.  Later, B.J.

Reviewer: Cuddles13 (Signed) · Date: 02/12/07 11:51 AM · On: Chapter 7 - Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire

Dean is so cruel beating that rabbit down to the ground.LOL

Author's Response:

Yeah, but the rabbit is a toon and he just bounced right back up!  I really enjoyed playing in Toontown and just imagine Dean would have gotten quite a thrill out of beating down that rascally rabbit!  After all, he did throw Dean out a twenty story window!

Thanks for reviewing and take care, B.J.

This is a real funny chapter. It's funny when the manager of starbucks got grabbed up by Dean.

Author's Response:

Thanks!  I loved the Starbucks bit with Dean finally coming to terms with his elfdom and being our kick-butt confident hunter again... even if he was dressed as an elf!

Later, B.J.

Reviewer: Cookie6 (Signed) · Date: 02/12/07 08:22 AM · On: Chapter 11 - Deck the Halls

Oh BJ, so many funnies in there and all I want to do is cry!! Your vision of the Winchesters together as a family for Christmas was beautiful. John's reaction was heartbreaking: to remember Mary in his arms, you showed he has been faithful to her love forever. I think the boys have just seen the reason and  magnitude of their fathers passion for revenge first hand.

Dean peacefully and calmly 'watching' his family whole again, all he's ever wanted, even if it's only for a wish, was a gentle moment. I loved how you gave him a reason to see his own self worth. Your description of his high as equal to his pride in watching Sam succeed was as sad as it was happy. This was actually a huge moment in your story, a milestone for Dean *bravo*

But it was Sam's reaction that blew me away: to 'see' his mother, to 'see' his parents together as a loving couple, to 'feel' his mothers love, was breathtaking. This was your scene stealer for me. For John and Dean you captured a treasured memory. For Sam, you created it. Your descriptiom, your idea to write this was stunning.

Your gifts were wonderful. The Yearbook idea was great!! Go famous girls!! Cute work. Gotta comment on the calves - twice you snuck it in, lucky we're now calf-savvy, thanks to you. I actually admired both Sam and Dean's calves, thanks to your visuals...

I've loved this whole story, congrats on a job well done, thanks for the amazing ride.

Author's Response:

Again, thank you, Petra! That scene where Mary appears to John could be my all-time fav.  It just seemed so perfect to give them all that moment.  Ever since Home when John sat on Missouri's couch and twirled his wedding band... I have been in love and awe of that man for his deep love and devotion to Mary.

And poor Sammy never did know Mary and it was so perfect for him to "feel" her love.  And being Christmas, you just have to let the Winchester men hug... Shadow will forever be a favorite episode for their reunion and hugs!

Yes, Dean always feels pride and joy for Sam's accomplishments, but aside from hunting... when has Dean ever felt value?  That is one of the true tragedies of the Winchesters.  At least in this "happy" Christmas fantasy he was allowed some validation and joy at accomplishing great things.

Yeah, I am forever looking at calves now.... LOL  Lo didn't get best calves in the yearbook, but he did get Best Athlete, so I think my youngest nephew did good! But now that I am aware of the "calf" thing, I do still look at both of my nephews' calves in relation to the other kids and damn, being athletes, they are muscular! LOL

Again, thank you so much for all the wonderful reviews.  Knowing which bits touched you and made you laugh brought back the joy of writing this story.  I am so glad you came along for Dean's wild ride!  Take care, B.J.

Reviewer: Cookie6 (Signed) · Date: 02/12/07 06:51 AM · On: Chapter 10 - Sleigh Ride

Another laughter laden ch that blew me outta the water with your originality and wit! Each ch is so different, so unique, yet builds and flows from the previous.

Only Dean could sass Santa and get away with it. All those movies over the years where folk find out there is such thing as Santa Claus and our Dean is the only one to respond with "Son of a bitch!" LOVED it!! A line to rival Rhett’s famous “Frankly my dear...”  (yeah, well you bought him up…) Retractable wheels, shovelling poop, threatening to kill Santa, riding shotgun in the sleigh, I’m not the elf for the gig!! Hiccup inducing words, will I ever recover?

And wasn’t your Santa the coolest in history -"Dean, you dissing my ride?" what a hoot!! Then to qualify why the sleigh is superior to the impala “R8 muscle” was freakin’ hilarious!! (I showed this to my classic-car-lover-car-racing-husband who told me “you’re all nuts!!”) This scene was a classic – “Only if you've been naughty… Dean whipping his hand back…Not that kind of naughty, Dean. I mean that was consensual, right?’” has got to be academy award winning, I want Kripke and Co to see that one!!

A little “aw’ moment that caught my eye - Santa saying that classic Winchester line “I've got you” to reassure Dean that he was safe and that someone cared enough to watch your back or get you out. *sigh* thanks for that little treasure.

I wonder how long before my family has me committed for laughing hysterically at my laptop? Trying to explain that I’m actually in the company of Shrek, Joe, Roger, Jessica and Santa might have them dialling faster – this after I’ve told them that I live in a world of demons, spirits, wedigos. vamps and werewolves, oh but not to worry, the Winchester keep me and my friends safe!!!!

Author's Response:

Petra, I looooooove your reviews!  I love that you appreciate all the writers' stories and support us with reviews. It really does encourage me to do better and push my boundaries.

If my story makes you smile, then believe me, your reviews make me smile!  Dean is such a witty, cool character and just imagining Jensen in the role makes all his lines flow.

I feel guilty taking credit for this because it almost seems like I channel him sometimes.  I did love the naughty line too, I can soooo see Dean doing that and his facial expressions. And I loved playing with Santa too and watching their playful interaction.

And I love that you picked up on the "I've got you" line.  I just don't understand when others don't understand our obsession for Supernatural! LOL  I too thank TPTB that the Winchesters are out there portecting us.

Thank you so much, you're great!  One more review then.  Later, B.J.

ohhhhhhhh, Bj.....you didn't let me down....what a great wrap up to a fun Christmas gift......such perfect gifts....

What a beautiful story.  Both side splitting funny and heartbreakingly tender.  Bravo!!!  Crystal

Author's Response:

Thank you, Crystal.

I love that the show goes from funny to heartbreaking to emotionally tender and I love to be able to explore that in my stories.

This story was mainly about fun, but being a Christmas story, I couldn't resist the urge to be touching and sweet too.

So glad you enjoyed it.  Take care, B.J.

I've had the best time with this story!  This chapter is a wonderful combination of sentimental and funny, a side of the Winchesters that peeps out on our TV screens but doesn't always get the time it deserves.  Thanks for bringing it to the fore.  The fangirls dig was a chuckle.  A little sorry for Dean that he was surprised that he was actually good at something besides hunting, but you're right, he would be suprised.  Loved the Cmas gifts.  Merry Christmas to you!

Author's Response:

Merry Christmas to you and thanks for reviewing.  This story was a joy and I loved getting all sentimental for the finale.  The guys deserve it.

Yeah, it is sad that Dean doesn't realize his own talents and value.  Maybe by the end of the series (a long time from now) Sam will have helped him realize his true worth.

I love that the show gives us a glimmer of this side of the Winchesters and then with the fanfics, we can dig deeper.

Thanks again.  Take care, B.J.

sooooooo darned cute, BJ...!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for giving our beloved hunter a Christmas to remember (even if nobody will ever believe his story)........

poor baby, will he ever attempt flying again without having his seatbelt on and PADLOCKED!!!!????

Author's Response:

Chris warned him to fasten his seatbelt, but you know guys... he thought he knew everything and how could that big ol' sleigh possibly lift off the ground!?! LOL

Next chapter gives them all a wonderful Christmas to remember.  The humor might be a bit sparse, but the tender, sweet moments are abundant.

Thanks for sharing Dean's ride with him.  One more chappy to go.  Later, B.J.

So only one more chapter??????are you sure?????

You know you have to write a sequel next year don't you!

Awesome job!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for all the wonderful reviews and support.

I totally wanted to write a sequel for this year, but I'm swamped with other stories and I wouldn't want to rush it.

If I can get the mojo back, I would love to do a sequel, but only if it would be as funny and touching.

Yep, one more chapter and then we have to tell Elf!Dean farewell... but he will always live on in our memories! LOL

As the mom walked past Dean, he looked her directly in the eyes with his most menacing glare.  His voice was clear and concise, "G.I. Joe Artic Adventure playset.  And Mom, it better be under the tree, we clear on that?  Or Uncle Vito is going be paying you a visit?  Capice?"

Oh my, I just cracked up at that image, and couldn't stop laughing. Elf Dean.....hmmm, those bells and that hat would probably really be something to see!

Author's Response:

Oh, my, wouldn't we all love to see Elf!Dean?  But hopefully the visual image I presented gives us a good idea.

Jensen is so amazing and thru his wonderful acting and presence as Dean I can picture this all happening in my head.  Actually, that's how I write... I just see it in my head and try to keep up with my keyboard!

I hope you continue to enjoy my little story.  Thanks for reviewing, B.J.

My oh my, I got a nigglin feeling of doubt the exact same time as Dean, I was thinking, hell, that can't be the real santa. Can it? Totally magical B.J.

so unbelieveably clever, Chris...Christmas!!!

Loved this chapter, can't wait for the update. Last chapter isn't it? Oooh, I don't want it to end:(

So glad you gave Dean something to believe in:) I hope Chris brings Dean to see Joe again, get a proper picture this time!!!

Schelz

Author's Response:

I actually had readers comment Dean was a little slow on the uptake, but hey, who would think it would be the real Santa?... besides this was much more fun!

This story was a total joy to write and I didn't want it to end either, but it is time.

Your wish is my command!  Next chapter late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Take care, B.J.

Yeah B.J, I was totally surprised it was shrek:) I bet you were glad when I was babbling on about Jeannie being the santa-napper. lol

Loved this chapter, it's so in the spirit of Christmas and I'm so glad the Winchesters are getting the chance to experience it together, without fighting.

So Spielberg's a thief huh? Lol

Loved it!!!

Schelz

Author's Response:

Yeah, I fooled you!  That's what I'm supposed to do, right?  Actually I loved the idea of Jeannie and it hadn't occurred to me... I guess my brain was going WAY out there! LOL

Glad you liked this chapter.  The last chapter is definitely in the Spirit of Christmas... very sweet and touching (I hope!).

Spielberg is a nice man, right?  He knows how to take a joke... hmmm, let's go thru the list... LOL  I mean he wouldn't sue me for defamation or anything, would he?

Thanks again, B.J.

Can't wait to see what happens next, BJ....hoping Joe Walsh puts in an appearance at the orphanage and treats Dean like a buddy......but with Winchester Luck...also know that can't happen....

Really loved the way the shoe was on the other foot w/Sam & Dean in this chapter........    Have you forgiven the Eagles now for being with W-M ??

Author's Response:

Hmmm,, are you reading my mind?  Your wish just might... and I repeat might happen! LOL

It was fun reversing the brothers' reactions.  I love that about the show, how they reverse their outlooks from one season to the next.

Actually, the 60 Minutes interview was very interesting.  I hadn't realized the band pressed their own record and as such it was probably to their advantage to sell thru Walmart and just deal with one distributor.  And since WM had to buy, I think, three million copies at least they had to invest in the band.

I'm just so pleased to have a new album, it is everything I could have hoped for, and I can't wait for them to tour again! I went to Hell Freezes Over twice and both concerts were phenomenal.

Off to proof the next chapter.  Later, B.J.

Reviewer: bulletbabe (Signed) · Date: 28/11/07 03:56 AM · On: Chapter 9 - Joy to the World

...and Dean just might be the elf to do it...ROFL

...and as for Spielberg stealing the story...that's a stroke of genius!

Can't think of another story that makes me laugh as much as this one...and I want some of that beer!!!

Author's Response:

Thanks again!  You don't think Spielberg will sue me do ya?  He can take a joke, can't he?

I am just so happy everyone finds my story funny.  I truly was worried I couldn't come up with enough funny bits, but once Dean got going in his elf suit, it all seemed to flow.  Then once I lost all inhibitions and followed along, the humor just kept coming.

Dean takes a ride in the next chapter.  'Til then, B.J.
