That was soooo creepy! I loved it! And a perfect ending: "Samhain, when the dead walk the earth. The dead minus two." Beautifully written girl!

My review from home page, wanted to post here as well where it belonged: Major suspense with a creepy factor that had me holding my breath and sitting so still in case I triggered IT into action - and we'd only gone five feet!! Your description as a dovetail of the walk, Sam's fear, Sam's physical manifestation of that fear, and his internal dialogue was masterpiece writing. And that parallel walk down another hall, as a twin fear, of equal yet different magnitude was awesome. It added volume to the suspense and to Sam's terrified state of mind. I was desperate for Sam not to run, half expecting that he would, that instinct driven by fear would overcome his cognitive reasoning. Heck it was all I could do not to run! Thank God for hunter training and faith in a big brothers mantra to always keep you safe!! Your second paragraph was dynamic and I think that alone was what stopped Sam from succumbing to the need to run. Your finale had me breathing a sigh of relief that it was over, only to suck it back in again with the realisation that safety came with Dean, was Dean. Sam's single word was total closure - for Sam, for us. Dean's eyes as the symbol that he had made it was an outstanding - a steely green sign of sanctuary. Just beautiful. Congratulations on a fantastic fic definitely worthy of this high accolade. You deserve the win and the beautiful banner.
