That was really good - the first person narrative was a nice touch, and it landed the reader smack-bang in the middle of the terror of that night.....Jules

Good idea. At times you switched tenses which made it a bit confusing. I almost feel, like it's missing something. I feel like I (as the reader) deserve more. It was well written, but somehow lacking. I feel like you have more potential and talent then what was displayed in this story.
Author's Response: Y'know Karen, a friend e-mailed me and said I'd got a 'bad' review but I don't know what she was talking about. I think what you've said is very valid and insightful. As a beginner (never written a word before starting on this site...) I feel my style was nonexistant to start with and even now is only starting to form. If I was to write this now it would be very different and I would like to think more accesable to the reader. I found your review thought provoking so thank you for that...and thank you for being honest, one honest review is more creative help to me than a hundred pats on the back..lol I hope you keep reading and reviewing the other stories and hope you enjoy them more. Thanks for the honest review Karen X Lou

I was helpless, locked in the moment with them, and then three words saved me from the terror - "His voice softened....". Then I knew I would be saved. Bev xx
Author's Response: As always Bev, you're a poet in the truest sense of the word...and who wouldn't be saved by that lovely soft Texas tone...? lol Thanks for the review m8 - means the world to me today (and every day for that matter)

And so the legend begins and grows. Nothing more fun than telling scary stories (except watching SPN and chatting with all u dears). Awesome little piece. Crystal
Author's Response: Thanks Crystal, another lovely review from you...you've made me very happy today...and I immediately want to go and write something...lol

Really enjoyed this, liked the different style - the idea of one of the people saved by the winchesters writing down their experiences and it becoming a camp fire story - just like the basis of some of their 'urban legend' hunts. Fab!
Author's Response: Thanks very much birdy - I appreciate the review and the rating. Very pleased you liked it!

Great story! Part of me loves the ambiguous ending and part of me doesn't. I love the first person style---not used too much! Beautiful descriptionsand expressions of thought and feelings!
Author's Response: I'm having to stop myself from writing Jennie's story and how she came to get hold of the account from Joseph, but who knows - might have to do it one day. Thanks for the review Shannon. Much appreciated.

Great story! So original! Although i barely made it to the end, cause you know, these extra 30 words... Kidding, it was a real pleasure to read that, thanks.
Author's Response: Know what you mean - those pesky extra thirty just take it out of a gal, lol. Very glad you enjoyed fredo - thanks for the review.

I loved the idea of the letter and a horror fic told in first person. To view our boys through a strangers eyes was awesome. The way you wrote Joseph's account of their actions and words while on a hunt confirmed for us that the two strangers were well and truly the Winchester boys, unsung heroes. Who else do we know says confidently "Wrong place, wrong time, bitch"? Who else doesn't allow an order to be ignored "Do you understand? Stay in this circle, do NOT move!" Who else "fires in unison" insync actions reflecting insync minds? Who else are as "adept" as each other? Who else protects the other "I'm on it, get to the circle"? Yep you nailed our boys and you nailed this ficlet. And what a clever ending "No - she didnt't do stories"!!!! Excellent work Lou!
Author's Response: Thanks for this Cookie6. I always love to get a review from you as they are all so thoughtful. You seem to pick up on all those little touches that I tried to incorporate into the story - which is so encouraging. I read your reviews...and need to go write something straight away. Thanks for that!

Great job! I like the context that it would be a note read as a "ghost story" It would have been cool to know how she got the note...guess it's cool to leave some things to the imagination! very impressive! I'm sending you some peanut M&Ms with this review! Hope you enjoy!
Author's Response: Thanks gengen, I think you're right, sometimes it's best left to the imagination and I'm very glad it worked for you. Thanks for M&Ms - love me some M&Ms

Lou....really enjoyed your story ....and a unique offhanded way to tell it.... liked Joseph's description of his own cowardice...... and as usual we knew the boys would be the unknown heroes... This was really quite good...you should be very proud of yourself :0) jude

Lou, this's absolutely awesome! So different way to tell a story and it worked extremely well. "Then, I heard a voice I didn't recognize, loud and deep and full of confidence. 'Wrong place, wrong time, bitch.'" This was great, it made me grin. I also liked Joseph. I definitely agree with this: And the world should know. Brilliant title choice. I'm not sure what else to say... I honestly loved this!
Author's Response: Thanks Scan, I always love it when someone picks out a line!
