I thought my heart broke with "Enough", but this just shattered it!!  Sam's pov was needed and this ficlet was perfect, as an explanation as well as a complimentary piece. The flashback was sad and poignant, just as it was the first time, both boys left in shock.

"And then he heard it" Boy did that little sentence pack a punch. Beautifully written.

Your words "He'd just ignored his own brother...While he watched" stole the show, this realisation leaving Sam devastated and ill, understanding that's exactly what went down.

I loved the flashback as a trigger for Sam to get his priorities straight and go back to Dean. You wrote their conversation brilliantly, loved Dean's face softening and smiling as realisation dawned. What a lovely christmas you gave them, brother time to kick back together *sigh*

An awesome pair of oneshots! Original, creative and well written. You sure pushed my buttons!!!

I had to read this after reading Enough.  I must say you did good by both of our boys.  Very well written.  Thanks for a nice little read.

I skimmed over the intro and started getting a strange feeling of deja vu when I read the flashback, then I realized why. This is the sequel to Enough from Sam's pov that I asked you to write;-) Very nicely done, thanks for the early Christmas pressie!

Author's Response:

Thank you for the inspiration! I meant to save this until further into the holiday season, but I have no patience so....

So glad you liked it :)

Awwwwwwww! That was beautiful SierraN. I really like the way Enough was Dean's feelings and this one was focused on Sam's. Sooo heartbreaking, yet sooo good:) You're a great writer and I look forward to reading more of your stuff. I could probs go on for ages but don't want to put the sleepers on you. Zzzzz   (LOL)

I have to say I did read the companion piece to this story and I loved it.  This one was equally as good.  I loved the way portrayed the boys.  Great job and thanks for the read - K
