Wow, I really liked your Sam in this. In the show, I think Sam gets treated a little unfairly, and sometimes I just want him to scream his heart out, and punch people, and just tell everyone what he thinks and really wants to say..but..he usually just stands there and holds it in, it was nice to see him come out of his shell in this one, now if he would only do it on the show. ;P

I like how both brothers are trying to protect the other by not revealing their conversations with a demon (Ruby & Casey) & they are thinking the same thing (it's so them!)

I am definitely interested where this is going. Good writing, I especially loved the dream in the second chapter. You wrote it very well, I could clearly picture the scene but you still got Sam’s confusion, fear and frustration across. I can’t to see your take on Ruby and how she fits in and what she can do to help or what her real motivation is.

Wow, one too many psych classes huh? just kidding. The dream actually was pretty cool. The whole tree theme leaves (leafs :) a lot open to interpretation. I especially like how it started with them running and Sam being left behind. Dean being miffed that sam didn't wake him up was funny too.
When Sam blew up and said that he 'wasn't Dean's problem anymore..' made me say "awe".
You should add more in about Dean's fear of being replaced. Haven't read that one before.

Don't ya just love the way something as simple as a game of darts can turn into an emotional event?
Sam's memories of Dean and looking through the pictures were tissue worthy.
The best part was when Dean followed him back to the room and spoke quietly from the door "why do you torture yourself, Sammy?"--just LOVE that!
Wasn't crazy about Ruby's idea that Sam is on a path with her now instead of Dean. Will just have to see where this goes.

This whole Ruby is a demon thing coupled with the hint that Sam isn't 100% Sam just freaks me out - and here you are, exploring these very things!!
"The brothers lives diverged from each other.." "She and Sam were the two sharing a path now"...thought provoking and scary!
