And now I'm caught up! Oh, Sammy Sammy Sammy. I almost hope it isn't him - he can't be a bad guy! But HUGE kudos if he is - already, he's written so well that his despair and grief is palpable, almost as much as Dean's. It really brings to mind the look on Dean's face back at the beginning of S2, when Tessa tells him he could stay and get angrier and angrier, and how did he think angry spirits are born? looking forward to the next one!

And second re-post... Oh god. I don't think I've ever read a story with what looks like a Winchester as an angry spirit before. The angst if Dean ends up hunting him...ouch. If it really is Sammy haunting the Impala parts, then that's a horrible, horrible twist. And I love it! Not sure if I've read Quake - I usually avoid WIPs (a decision I made long after I first read this...) but hell, either's good!

I'm ranting through the sniffles. Really. I am. Good god... Can't decide if I'm glad I've got another chapter to read or not, but either way, I am most DEFINATELY glad you've reminded me about this story! It was something I read when I was first finding my way around this site, and it still has just as much impact as it did then. *hides behind kitten for the next chapter* Because I'm a dolt, I managed to review under my other AlterEgo... so I'll re-post the reviews under this name instead!

It's great to see an update, have you turned Sam into a vengeful spirit? i'm reading Quake but i really can't wait to find out whats going to happen next in this story.
Author's Response: yes indeed, sam is def in spirit form. but i dont think vengeance is what he's looking for.... i think ill finish this story before i return to quake. i also have the beginnings of about five fics ready to post, but im going to wait on em until i finish to least most of my incomplete fics that are already posted. glad to know you're enjoying this one! thanks for the review ^_^

Author's Response: NO!!!!!! Don't worry, I will be updating this as soon as I get the last chappy of SEEMINGLY IMPOSSIBLE up, and another QUAKE. I will certainly not do a time jump, and I will not be introducing and OFC's. Ergh. However, be prepared for a little bit of some intense Sammy in the next chapter.....That's right! You read it! ok the first question that is still ringing in my ears is that is this a death fiction? and if it is not it must be the worst nightmare dean has ever dreamt. or maybe Dean is still in the hospital in a coma? Holy crap...I can hardly breathe... You wrote Dean's grief with such depth and feeling that it soaked into my soul. I thought the first chapter was heartbreaking but this one was shattering stuff. And yes, I get that hatred would be the overriding emotion that would piggyback Dean's hurt and loss. Beautifully written, the sadness and emptines just leapt out of your words.

Wow. That was Heartbreaking. The way you portryed Dean and his coping with Sam passing. Put it this way, i have a few sliding tears after reading this chapter. SAMMMY!sniffle sniffle you are soooo evil but so god damn freaking great when i was reading this at first the banter between the brothers made my heart light and then i could almost feel it as you ripped out my heart with your emotional and heartbreaking words. you are suberb,though evil! :-) you have covered the emotions brilliantly then chucked us in the deep end when we dont know how to swim! im so figuring out how to nominate you for an award!

Author's Response: Well, I'm afraid it may be a long wait for ch2, but Damnations is priority 1 right now, followed by Pain Beyond Pain. I seriously am dying to do this story, but I have to pace my self - I just can't do 7 stories at a time.
