You really know how to get right down to the action! Good description of the fire and its effects. This is the third time Dean has pulled Sam from a fire - he really is an awesome big brother!! Under "normal" Winchester circumstances, the boys risk their life on a regular basis for strangers, the fact that Dean blames himself for the fire totally justifies his re-entry into a burning building. Good chapter.

That was just...swell!!!!! Loved snarky Dean trying his hand at optimism and coming off as even MORE sarcastic than normal. You manage to combine humor and action so well - amazed that this is your first story. So many really good Deanisms, but especially;
"I think it’s such a lovely little piece of jewelry that I just can’t part with it and so I’m subconsciously willing it to stay where it is."

Very action packed chapter! Well written...and intense...I liked that you had Dean turn around and go back for Sam...
Okay, and so totally off the point, but if Dean was freakin’ Batman and he was Wolverine, would that make Bobby, Professor Xavier? That line had me cracking up! I LOVE Wolverine! He is awesome!

First off Congrats on the Featured, it's well deserved. Secondly GREAT update, love seeing Sam in charge even at the expense of a Dean in torment, love that when Dean does get his crap together he sees that Sam is more than capable, and props for the whole Wolverine bit.
