Oooohhhh, I can't wait for more!!!! Our boy, Dean, sure doesn't know how to listen, does he? You can't help but feel Sam's frustration. lol I loved the line you gave Dean when he pointed at Sam's face and explained he looked like he'd just lost his puppy. Loved it!

Glad to be reading this again. I'm loving persistant Dean who refuses to admit anything's wrong with him. Can't wait to see what happens during the rapture....pissed off Sam is going to be fun. Thanks for a great read.

Fantastic intro. How cute was that Winchester stand-off!? Loved Sam all huffy and deciding not to “waste time” cos he never wins. Ha! If only Dean had seen his little brother in his absence I don’t think he would have challenged him to a standoff at all! You really had the snark rocking Lou, some classic Dean which caught my eye - “Cool your jets ‘Smoky’…we’re gonna go get your niece right now, in fact were gonna go get both our girls” and “So Mac, tell me something in words I’m not gonna have to look up, what did you do in here?” made me grin. Yeah, Dean’s well and truly recovered in those two hours!! *ugh* Gustav at his smooth and slimy best. I shivered when he was behind Mac breathing on him with his innuendo and “reading his fear, tasting his dread” Wonderful words. Loved Sam’s influence - “Sam had been VERY specific. ‘The less you say, the less you can give away, so you say NOTHING” perfect timing the way you placed that right at the moment when Mac needed it. I loved Dean’s entrance, catching Gustav off guard, loved how in control he was, even when your baddie sledged him about John. I’m really glad you didn’t let Dean get taken down again by that, although I’m sure it registered behind Dean’s wall and hurt like hell. So now we are getting to the bottom of what the Rapture is, where it comes from. And Gussy’s just a man?? And here comes the Rapture arriving amidst noise and blinding light – can’t wait to see who, or what, is behind it all. And how does Nancy fit his sicko plans? My mind is in overdrive! This is an awesome fic and each chapter captivates me further. Great job.
Author's Response: So many questions and I hope they will all be answered in the next few chapters... ...as for Gussy, well I'm not sure you have seen him at his slimy best just yet...lol But we'll have to wait and see... Petra, thank you once more for these reviews today and for the great encouragement that comes with them...off to write more right now...lol XXX Louy

Wow, what deep and emotional chapter. I felt both charged and drained as I neared the end. Charged by your awesome description of Dean, amazed by how you managed to give us the interaction between the three men as well as each man’s pov as you went. But drained by how much it took out of Dean, how hard it was, how much effort it took to surrender to another invasion of his mind. All of it just leapt out in your writing. I absolutely loved the way you described Dean through Mac’s eyes. Your words “He’d thought Sam was a scary hard nosed felon, but he suddenly had the feeling that he hadn’t seen anything yet” and “The professor had tasted Sam’s internal defences before and they were impressive enough, but his brother’s were a masterclass of internal design” was sensational reading. Damn straight Mac! I loved every word, agreed with every understanding Mac found. You articulated Dean with absolute precision. That WHOLE scene – Dean’s dread, fear, strength, resistance, rage, his shaking, his need to still reassure Sam, your reference to your wall building with Sam, Mac helping repair that wall, that image of Dean holding Mac’s wrists and Sam’s observation that he was holding them in place – damn…just…damn, damn. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Dean written so well, so deeply. You just blew my mind with that whole scene. I haven’t given stars in UnGen yet, but for this scene alone I am breaking my own rule. Your description in this whole fic has been phenomenal, but this is positively breathtaking. And of course I just have to say…what a freaking unreal ending! “Mackenzie had expected a weak and tired voice as Dean opened his mouth to speak, not the harsh, metallic growl that came from those lips. “He’s got my car…and I want it back.” So cool!! Brilliant! You wrapped Dean up in a nutshell and allowed us a breath and a grin after such an emotional ride.
Author's Response: Petra, I trully don't know what to say...I know and fully understand your views on giving stars because we have spoken about it, so to get them from you is a fantastic compliment and one that that I feel very humbled by. Your review as always has me stunned, so detailed and thought out that it makes me feel that every word was worth writing. I know I've told you this before my friend but you have an exceptionally powerful pen...both with your fiction and with your reviews...Thanky you once again! XX Louy

Finally! Here I am, back to review my fav fic. I have kept up my reading (of course!) during my review tardiness, but what a ride I’ve had re-reading the entire fic again to get my bearings. And boy, it is even better second time round. Well, Bulletbabe, you sure lived up to your name with this chapter - strategy, action and battle written in awesome description every step of the way. Sam’s (your!) phenomenal planning and execution of this attack had me on the edge of my seat, right down to the precision timing. Loved Mac whispering “a silent thank you to whoever taught Sam Winchester assertiveness skills”. A subtle reminder to us of what is means to be a Winchester. I loved the anticipation you built. The interaction with the librarian, the description of the sweat, even Mac’s internal meanderings about the fountain pens had me jumpy and skittish. It was all I could do not to skip the ‘mundane’ bits! Creating chaos to rescue Dean is awesome story plotting girl, and you wrote it with such excitement. Your opening scene of Gustav admiring himself and his work put me right back to ‘skin crawly’ – he is the ultimate in foul. From his smarmy treatment of Nancy, his arrogant dismissal of Dean to his perverse admiration of the tapestries, he is disgusting. The way he manhandled Dean was downright intimidating and controlling, dirty, and I wanted to scream ‘You saw defiance Gustie? Damn straight you did!’ And then you complete the picture of how sinister he is by giving us that inside to his opinion of his own greatness. ‘Calling him God is an understatement’!?! Holy crap, his vanity gives his evil factor an all new high. Jeez, Lou, you wrote his arrogance so well it’s no wonder you got a rise outta your readers! How good is that! Your description of him perceiving immorality and evil in those wall hangings was an incredible choice of analogy to emphasis his foulness – a rich choice in imagery and words to make such a powerful point. I loved how you wrote Dean’s struggle, I was with him all the way … “and then his luck ran out…” Oh No! I was stuck on that wall with him, no energy…And boy did you have him trying hard; I held my breath with him and for him. Stunning writing. I still can’t get enough of your Sam. Loving this focussed hunter on a mission but then you give us that glimpse of our Sammy under the soldier through Wayne’s eyes and I just melted - “a strange combination of fury and concern painted on his face” – just beautiful. And of course that menacing “Think again” was just the best. And Wayne with the icky body bits now with the icky body fluids? Yeah girl, you’re grossing me out! Thank God Sam made short work of him. And leaving Gustav standing calmly in the summoning room despite the pandemonium? *bulging eyes* Due to his calculating evilness, this is the mother of all cliffies!!! Did it tide me over? It sure did, and I thank you for posting it when you did, cos yeah, I was sure getting desperate!
Author's Response: Oh...Petra It's so good to get these reviews from you today of all days as I've just had a NIGHTMARE 24 HOURS... Chapter 11 was written and edited as were the notes for 12 and with the push of one button they were gone into the demonic ether that is my laptop...can laugh now but so not funny at the time...4000words eaten. So have spent most of last night rewriting and have just about managed to finish...but keeping fingers firmly crossed...so after all that - to wake up to magnificent reviews like this almost made me cry...THANK YOU!!! If he need someone to prop him up for a bit I'll go - no,no you're too busy Lout, lemme go? please! And I kinda have a small soft spot for Mac too, he's shit scared but he's hanging in there! And oh boy I so wanna see The Rapture open and see what wonderous, terrible, and fearful consequences occur as a result! Come on B***h finish it! Love Bev xx PS: did you remember to feed Florences owl? it was your turn!

Ooohhh, wow. Great update, Lou. I absolutely adored the Winchester standoff. I could see both of them squaring off. And the fact that Dean wouldn't spin around first because he would've fallen on his ass was funny! Looking foreward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks Ness, love the idea of those boys squaring off too...lol Thanks for the review X Louy

You use incredible descriptions - really paints a vivid picture. I absolutely love the conversation/moment with Dean in his mind re-building the wall & Sam being there. It was simple, understated but really powerful & said a lot -> pure genius! I love intense Sam. Can't wait to see where this leads & see the big showdown.
Author's Response: Thanks for this great review and sorry it took me a while to respond...RW getting in the way i'm afraid...lol Glad you're enjoying this one, should be coming to a close soon and I'm going to be quite sad to see it finish...X Louy

The professor had tasted Sam’s internal defences before and they were impressive enough, but his brother’s were a masterclass of internal design. Ahhhhhhh!! Louy ...so well-stated, so Dean ....soo Sam... Thank you for giving us our hunter back....Now please go get Metallicar...and I'll be such a happy camper... Maybe Dean and Sam can use some REAL mortar and bricks to seal Gustav into a wall so he can never harm anyone again....
Author's Response: Must make you a happy camper Jude, so the boys are on their way to rescue the 'girls' as we speak...lol Love to see you reviewing, they are always lovely and uplifting, and you MUST start posting again so I can return the compliment. thanks for this and the lovely stars. X Louy

Love Sam...love Sam...love Sam!!! ;p ordering Mac around, and I just loved when he roughed him up, trying to reason with Sam while he's worried about his brother wasn't a clever idea. I love the rebuilding of Dean's fragile mind, between him and Mac;) and Dean's hunger to heal. Great how Mac realized he hadn't seen anything yet! Then...Yes!!! Dean's back the way we love him and he wants his car back! ooo Gustav is in deep trouble;) Still your kinda priest Flo?!? Hehehe Schelz x x
Author's Response: Schelz, you're lovely, thank you. Now it's time to go get the car and finish this thing...hehehe. Should only be a couple of chapters more and then it will all be over...sad! Thanks for the great review and stars, you rock! Love ya X Louy

Well. can't be letting anyone have the car!!! lol! Bit of an anxious moment for Dean when he's not sure why Sam isn't keeping the professor away and I got say Prof may not be the brightest turnip in the truck to try to bluff or blackmail Sam in those circumstances! Can definitely see it taking a while for Dean to let those defenses down, glad to have him back in the end. I a bit rambly, up all night at work and probably should have slept before trying to review, but this is a great chapter! - Angela
Author's Response: He he, thanks Rambly Angela, lol. Yeah, got to go out of my way to get the car back. Love that car...lol Thanks for the great review and the stars, you have put a huge smile on my face, thanks. X Louy

Ahhh LOVED the update. Yay for them saving Dean! And that 2nd to last line--hehehe--loved it. That part about Mackenzie seeing all the foundations (all broken at first) and helping the two brothers rebuild them, was fantastic and exactly how I picture things to be in Dean's mind.
Author's Response: Awe thanks Ness, now they've got to go end this! Should only be another couple of chapters, so hope you like the big finish...lol Thanks for the great review and the stars, they mean the world to me. X Louy

Jeez Bullet - Dean on "legs like jello" that is so pretty an image, could ya write me in and I could prop him up on the other side to Sammy? See I'm short so I'd kinda just fit nicely under his shoulder there and sorta grip him round the waist a bit in a supportive fashion you understand! I adore butch, tough Sam looking after his big bro, and your trade mark Sammy "holding Dean in his arms" is adorable as I said before. And that last line about "He's got my car and I want it back!" that just rocks Bullet, I love that boy he is so hot! Fantastic job Lout oops sorry Samantha! hehee Broken shoulder girl! xxxxxx

Author's Response: Well, I'm hoping that you won't have too long to wait as there shouldn't be that much more of 'Rapture' left. Have to say though, thank you so much for all these great reviews and the rating. It's always great to get readers but I never expect anyone to review, so it's always a great joy when they do, and to review almost evey chapter is just above and beyond, so thank you very much for that.
