holy cow!!!!!! nice bunch of people....really worried about our hero at this point.......first you take away Sam...then the Impala....and now Dean looks like he might be separated from himself.....So NOT good!!!

Author's Response: Never fear Jude - I never write death fic's so rest assured he'll come out of this in one piece (well mostly) Thanks for the review.

I've been trying to get to this story for ages bulletbabe, but I'm all caught up now. Love the way you're teasing this out, and your "big bad Sam" is awesome! I can't wait to see what happens when he catches up with Gustav. Thanks for a great read, and a great ride. See you again soon!

Author's Response:

Thank's ciel, I'm quite liking 'big bad Sam' too as a matter of fact - may be seeing a bit more of him, lol.

Thanks for the review!

You said angst and whump!! OMG, triple dose!! Gustov's torment of Dean was just downright cruel. My heart is in a million bits. He actually wore him down despite Dean's mammoth effort to fight him off. *sob* Your description was dramatic and detailed, no wonder I am sitting here in shock!! I don't know which scene was more shocking: the one where Dean "faced his truest and more terrifying fear. His brother needs him - and he's powerless to help...And in that moment, his world slowly unravels" or your ending with Dean on the floor with that sicko "looking into the blank staring face...reaching out a finger to wipe the steady stream of tears tracking their way down his face". so well written to make us feel so sad and outraged.

Big Bad Sam locked, loaded and lethal - what''s not to love!!! He is a Winchester and you wrote him with precision. The contrast in this chapter between the Sam in Dean's nightmare and the Sam plotting a hunt and a rescue is striking.

I am so into this story of yours, even if the excitement is killing me slowly!!

Author's Response:

Please forgive me for answering once to all these reviews, but you've rendered me speechlless, which is quite something for me, I can tell you!!!

I always love to log in and find one review from anyone - but have a special thrill if it's from you, as you have always been perceptive, thoughtful and descriptive. To find all these, was like christmas come early, so thankyou so much.

I'm overjoyed that you're liking this story, and that you've taken the time to write about it. Reading reviews like this are such an inspiration to be creative. They're what keep up all up at night scribbling ideas down in notebooks in the dark! lol and I'm very grateful for the encouragement!

And I'm also very glad to hear you're writing! I can't wait to read what you come up with. You are known on the site for being a great reviewer and I'm sure that reputation will continue with your stories!

Thanks again Petra - you've made my day! :) Louy

PS Couldn't let this little bit of hunter ingenuity go:

"You held me up with a flattened cole can?"

"Yeah, well like my brother always says, it's not what it is, it's what you do with it that counts."

Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!! *big grin*

Reviewer: Cookie6 (Signed) · Date: 18/11/07 03:59 AM · On: Chapter 4 It's what you do with it that counts!

Holy Sh1t, did you ramp it up! The intensity and tension just hit ten on the Richter Scale and my heart is thumping. The way that bad guy summarised Dean's life, that vile talk of his mother, came straight through the nasty filtre. I absolutely LOVED how you had Dean react, your creativity shone - "Slowly but surely, he worked to extinguishing the boiling rage he felt at the caustic insults thrown at his mother, replacing those internal barriers, brick by brick, stone by stone, burying the emotions he could feel bubbling up to the surface along with his anger and frustration. This freak had been in his head once and he’d be damned if he was ever gonna give him a second chance." *standing ovation" That  description is right up there with the best fanfic has on show, and is so true to Dean that I wanted to cry.

And there's a twist: the professor was attempting to save Sam. No wonder Sam was one-tracked about booking it outta there. Always love Sam busting out of his usual reserved self to full blown hunter and you wrote it perfectly. All his skills, training and intellegence in one angry brother. Sam's intensity was perfect in this intense chapter.

And your WOW factor continues: "He'd almost been able to smell the outrage bleeding off him at the treatment of the girl, and when he's looked into him, well now - those sort of emotions would be a positive feast" - these words of yours are positively sinister and I am on the edge of my seat with anticipation (worry!) with what he has in store for Dean. Outstanding writing! *bravo*

A.W.E.S.O.M.E!! You have me in the palm of your hand.

Reviewer: Cookie6 (Signed) · Date: 18/11/07 12:58 AM · On: Chapter 3 Halitosis man & Blubber boy!

Hoy moly, that disgusting experience made me hold my breath! So Gussy can read and control minds and he's made an evil deal for the privilege!?! And now he's wormed his way into Dean's mind and knows what's there. If that's what he can do with a fear of spiders, Dean with all his Winchester history and hang-ups is a nightmare in waiting. And to hammer that home your words "He could taste the man's anger surging through him and it was pleasing" - he has zeroed in on Dean's major weak spot - protecting others. I see angst and whump coming in buckets and I think Sam is going to be Gussy's weapon of choice...

Your conversation between Dean and Gustov was awesome. A real battle of wills, guile and cryptic clues. Brilliant!

And thanks for this -NOT! "a mountain of fat and muscle", "huge mass of gristle" and "meaty forearm" - major icky! But wait, there's more "meat mountains" Gross *shudder* oh no, now I find "pile of blubber"! There are times when I wish your descrptions didn't work so well in my brain!! But then you did warn us with that title...You are the Queen of titles by the way!

Reviewer: Cookie6 (Signed) · Date: 17/11/07 11:54 PM · On: Chapter 2 No 'skinny assed' chick!

How dare they?! We all share Dean's rage that a non-Winchester has touched his car, let alone driving her!! How wonderful is your description that his baby was "no skinny assed chick" not to mention a whole freakin weapons cache. Again a fantastic 'Dean title'. Loving ya work!

Again your amazing description puts us in the midst of your story. I was in that hall with Dean, I could see it all. Loved Dean's smirk at the 'amateurs' and "Wow. You fell out the fuggy tree and hit every branch on the way down, didn't you, dude?" - we REALLY get how ugly he is Lou, no punches pulled here. *kudos*

By far my fav scene because it stole my heart - “…he hated the look of vulnerability written all over Sam’s face, and was silently planning a number of ways to kill whoever had put it there.” – spectacular, so love protective!dean.  “He had no idea what was going on, but he didn’t like the fact that, clearly, someone had messed with his brother. And no one messed with Sammy, unless they wanted to dance - with Dean” Yep, someone is in a world of trouble. You write of Dean’s need to watch out for Sam with the passion we know Dean feels, so this just leapt out the page. Beautifully written.

So now Dean is kidnapped and Sam, who is not himself, is missing. It's turned out to be a big night out!

Reviewer: Cookie6 (Signed) · Date: 17/11/07 10:45 PM · On: Chapter 1 A big freaking girls knife!

Oh no, and I liked the old professor. Not anymore!! But more to the point, Sam liked him. OK, so the big freaking girls knife (GREAT description and title!) has got Sam in trouble. Your description as Sam lost consciousness was so vivid, I felt him go under.

Your intro was a ripper, dapper dean at his smirky best and undapper Sam just oozing with brood and mood. Loved it! But at least his skin will be soft!

"Dean was always on a high when Sam was happy" - your simple words here spoke volumes. No wonder Dean bought him the knife despite his whinging. Thanks for the peek at a "such great and fantastic big brother"

And to end on a cliffie, I'll just buckle up while I head to the 'next' button...

Reviewer: Dean494 (Signed) · Date: 17/11/07 01:03 PM · On: Chapter 5 A sudden drop in pressure!

Great work. The last nightmare so vivid, poor Dean, he really belives that they have Sam. I guess how are you going to save Dean and the girl if they are so broken to help. Keep working. I enjoy a lot this chapter. What exactly is Gustav ?

Great start. Old professor has more interest in the knife and Sam got directly into his hands. Dean is going to be pissed.

Eyes wide open in horror; she let’s out a piercing scream as a dozen black, hairy bodies crawl out from her open mouth.

Can I just say UGH, well Gustav hit it right off, cause spiders crawling from my mouth is up there for nightmares.

Great update, bullet, and I can't wait for more - K

Author's Response: Thanks K. That was actually a quote from my rejected Halloween Challenge story so I'm glad you picked it! Thanks for the review :)
