Before anything else, I have read many and I do approve of the work admirably. Like I told another writer that if I where ever to be rich one day I'd like to assemble a huge ass team . . . to be able to publish each of your worked compositions and in this draemed image . . . I'd see a killer ass star in hollywood along with other writers haveing their names placed on the star of fame, but that is only a dream of reality . . . in my mind you all have a huge star. so thank you everyone of you for your work. Okay, I am a true fantic of SAM, and the professor is hitting below the belt where the hell is DEAN. I think SAM & I have been violated. Oh, what a world . . . what a world, but i'm likeing it. not the professor he/she is scaring me and sending electric shevers go down my spine.

Impressive detail on the light, it had a life of its own the way it crept the floor looking for the heated bodies. For a few moments I thought Gustav would never die... die die die!!! He got the best death, I read it twice! Nice wrap up, which ended on a good note that brought a smile to my face. Good read!

Very clever to go back and replay Gussy's tricks from Sam's POV. Very intense action in this chapter which just helped build tension for the last one. Dean is so freakin' stubborn but us gals just can't deny how much we love that about him.

I've finally got back into reviewing and have been going through my favourites, I couldn't deny this one has always been one so here I am finishing what I started. I have to see this tale thru... The Winchester stalemate, loved it! I gotta say reading this again brings back all the excitement I got from earlier chapters, on to the end of it...

I'm a little disappointed...that it's all over. What a ride. I've been truly enthralled all the way through, from the moment Sam found that knife in the second-hand dealer's shop. The poetic justice of Gustav being destroyed by the power that he sought to control was eminently satisfying to a Pollyanna like me who believes in evil being smote hard and the good guys winning in the end. I could also feel, and sympathise with, Sam's hesitation in going after the other people like Professor MacKenzie - good people just caught up in the wrong thing, not true psychopaths (or is that sociopaths) like Gustav was. And I have to say - that was a damned chilling moment when Gustav looked up and saw Sam clearly for the first time, and realised whom it was he was seeing - the protected little brother. My heart gave a bit of a double-beat there. And I did wonder for a second or two whether that thick purplish cloud was going to descend and pursue the brothers after the Bastion was destroyed. Poor Nancy - she's got a long way to go. But at least she has a strong chance of being all right eventually. That was a poignant moment, Dean admitting how it felt for him after Gustav invaded his mind. This was a stunning piece of work. I am so glad Petra kept nudging me towards it......Jules

Ah....there's Sam. Ouch - the mental image of Sam driving his knee into the heavy's cheekbone - I could hear that crunch all the way down here. If Dean gets out of this mess in one piece, I feel he's going to be on the receiving end of a major Sam blowout for not waiting for his brother - twice in one day. I'm wondering....now that Gustav has begun the Rapture - how will it affect Nancy if she's been primed for it? At least I can read the next chapter and find out straight away - lol. Oh - and I did absolutely love Dean circling Sam's face with his finger and commenting on his "kid who's just lost his puppy" face. That was priceless......Jules

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Full marks to Dean for trying to get under Gustav's skin, though - and for a moment he did. Was the opening of the Rapture an act of calculation, or of desperation? And where is Sam? Edge of seat stuff, here.....Jules

He’d thought Sam was a scary hard nosed felon, but he suddenly had the feeling that he hadn’t seen anything yet. Mackenzie had expected a weak and tired voice as Dean opened his mouth to speak, not the harsh, metallic growl that came from those lips. “He’s got my car…and I want it back.” Sam said nothing; he just smiled at the look of bemusement on the professor’s face. Oh, my gosh! That brought a smile to my face - of very satisfied amusement. Oh, and I have to say I love the way you described the brothers as pieces of the same jigsaw - that was a beautiful analogy. Forgot to mention - the attention that Gustav pays to Nancy is really quite creepy. I can feel my skin crawl whenever he looks at her or touches her. This is an astounding work of art....Jules

The countdown was so effective, I found myself holding my breath waiting for zero hour. That's one hell of a writing style you have. Now that I am reminding myself to breathe again, I have to supply a standing ovation for Sam's solution - a home-made concussion grenade....Dean and John would be so proud of that kid. And I did love Sam's low growled "Think again" just before he sent Wayne to the land of nod. That was just brilliant........Jules

Sam the soldier....drilled not only by his father but his beloved brother, and putting all his lessons into play, focussed and deadly. And Dean the quintessential protector...able to break through the toughest mind blocks and shield his little brother from the psychic assault on his thoughts and memories, and fighting back with everything he has. Gustav has no idea what he has come up against. I sort of feel sorry for the professor - in a small way. He got in way too deep, and it's too late for him to back out now. He gave his family to Gustav, and who knows how many others he would have turned over. And now he sees the price. I wonder what will happen to him before the end.......Jules

Ohhh, yessss!!! *pumps fist in the air* Come on, Dean - beat that sod! Really love the mental imagery of Dean slowly and painstakingly building a wall to keep Gustav out. And can't wait for the confrontation that is brewing between Dean and his nemesis. Interesting that despite all Gussy has put him through, that Dean's fierce protectiveness of his baby brother has kept the mad priest from seeing Sam clearly in Dean's thoughts. Awesome work. Just awesome....Jules

Oh, gosh - that was just pure evil, that final line. Gustav has truly sold his soul beyond hope of redemption. Poor Dean - his worst nightmare is truly losing his brother right before his eyes. How can he know that it's not real? Hopefully Gussy will slip up in his arrogance......Jules

So, Mac has fallen out of favour with his lunatic high priest. I must admit, my jaw hit the desk in shock when it was revealed that Mac had tried to save Sam. That explains why he was so set on them packing and leaving after he got back to the motel room. That was a low blow - and quite a reveal of Gustav's true state of mind - when he reviled Dean's mother. Bad move, by the way - well, two bad moves actually. Mentioning the brother that Dean vowed to protect with his very life (threatening Sam in any way being an instant death sentence in Dean's book) and then in almost the same breath calling his beloved mother a whore. I feel he will pay dearly for that....if there is anything left of Dean by the time Gussy has finished ripping into his mind. This is a truly dangerous adversary. And he needs to be stopped. Oh, by the way - love Sam in hunter-mode. I think that people sometimes underestimate our gentle Sammy. But he is a Winchester, and he loves his big brother just as fiercely as Dean loves him. Cut Dean, and Sam bleeds - right before he makes mincemeat out of the cutter.....Jules
