She can't have either one of them.........This is one of the best stories i've read...one of the most addictive ones too.....the way you phrased the last part makes me think that there's a sequel in the works???.......Please do..... :)

Wow, just WOW!!! I loved the epilogue as much as I loved the whole story! So Sam's idea with the silver based medicine saved Dean's life and their confessions healed their hearts. But you had to leave us with a cliffie again, he he.... This calls for a sequel sooner then later! This was a fantastic read all along, very well written, catching, intense, thrilling, at times scary, touching and hertwrenching. You did such a great job! This story is one of my favorites and I will definitely read it again. I am sad to see it end - but I am hopeful for a sequel and I look forward to reading more of your work. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!

O.M.G............WTF.........SO NOW THE THING IS DR. Okay, so i have been reading this from the start and have to say it is incredible. When the doctor was telling Sam about Dean i was thinking could it get much worse for him; but it sure did :) my favorite parts of the story was when they said about the virus and it was like shapeshifter (before i was going hmmm) and when Sam called jay. I just went NO and gasped-thinking he didnt know, but when he killed her it was beautifully writted and i could see itplay in my head. Now im thinking that the reason Sam fainted (apart from being VERY tired) was that John was there by Deans bed-though i do hope Dean doesnt die!! Cant wait for the epilogue-i love your writting style! Great chapter-best one out of the whole story!

No need to be nervous about this chapter - it's a great read! Down to the epilogue, hmm... Gives me a guess on what sight dropped Sam, but guess I'll have to be patient to see if I'm right! (Not one of my better skills, actually - lol)

This chapter was excellent. It had me on the edge of my seat. I liked the confrontation between Sam and Jay. This was a very emotional chapter. I can't wait to see how you tie this story up in the epilogue. You have no reason to be nervous about this chapter. It turned out fantastic.

Yeah!! Sam did it!! At long last that evil bitch has bitten the dust....lol. Seldom have I felt such contentment and joy at the demise of a baddie but OMG, I am so happy to see Jay treated to an unhealthy dose of Winchester style justice. This chapter was right up there with all the others, outstanding, so why am I surprised that you managed to fit in one final and very wicked cliffie......lol. Dean's list of ailments was scary, and his poor chewed fingers, maybe that shapeshifter blood can do a bit of repairing to him. I really don't want this to end, so it's great that there's an epilogue. It's been a great ride. Thanks. Jane

(Yeah, I sometimes forget that this story only spans like four days, I think. Eventually they need to get out of Rockford and move on.)

“DAMN IT DEAN, OPEN YOUR EYES!” Sam screamed as he laid a gentle tap against his cheek, knowing he had to keep him conscious, at least for himself. If he was awake, he was alive, and when they got to the hospital he knew he wouldn’t see him for hours, because that’s the way it always went, and he wondered if he’d even see him alive again at all. So, for now, one way or another, Dean was staying conscious, because Sam said so. Ohmigosh, Strigoi how perfectly Winchester....in thought, word and deed............

NO NEED TO BE NERVOUS. THIS STORY HAS REALLY BEEN WILD. I ENJOYED IT IMMENSELY, AND TO THINK I HAD BYPASSED IT. IT DIDN'T SOUND VERY EXCITING, AND I'M A DEAN GIRL MYSELF, AND WASN'T UP TO A SAMCENTRIC STORY. (Sorry for the caps) Boy was I wrong! The title fooled me. I knew that ambulance ride was gonna be a shocker! Not just vomiting more blood but choking on it first! In front of a terrified Sam! Jeez, you’re killing us slowly with poor Dean!! I so get Sam reacting and yelling at the ambos (Aussie slang for ambulance men) in his panic, poor baby… It’s a wonder Sam’s not dead on his feet with exhaustion and stress, no wonder he was zoning out with yet another shock to witness. Then to top off my emotional roller coaster ride, you write “…his hand reaching for Sam’s and Sam taking it as he wiped the blood from his lower lip with his sleeve, intent on not letting his brother’s hand go” *sobbing* Beautiful imagery of that precious bond we recognise and love. Awesome, awesome stuff! When Never-say-die-Dean wants to give up, we know he’s had enough. Dean trying hard to elicit another promise, you showed us Never-say-die-Sam, despite his distress – “No way was he going to admit to himself that his brother was going to die, and making that promise to him was an admission of defeat in his eyes” You wrote of Sam’s classic inner strength smoothly and naturally. I loved this to bits! And hasn’t your Dr Matthews got steel in her spine. Girl Power! Your description of the ER was action packed. But it was also sad and poignant and touching. This image, a beautiful example of that mix of intensity and sadness – “Dean had finally broken his gaze with Sam and now just laid there glassy-eyed, staring at the ceiling. His face no longer held any emotion as he stared, almost as if he’d fallen asleep with his eyes wide open, an occasional blink the only thing indicating the he was still alive’’ Sh!t, was Dean serious about giving up?!?! I sure thought so here *hitching breath* Incredible writing, this image stole the show for me. And amongst all that poking, prodding, injecting, and swallowing (a charcoal drink for God’s sake!!!) this wonderful classic Dean snark - “Tastes like shit” and in this angsty chappie I crack a smile!! And dang, if Dean wasn’t still in hunter mode despite his physical and mental state. “Dean instantly froze…and Sam instantly knew something was wrong” Both boys alert to the hunt and alert to each other – you add more mystery for us…I’m so intrigued!! What’s in her pocket and what is she saying to Sam that's so terrible?? Wow, that was one hell of a chapter! *wink*

Now that the story is almost complete, I am looking forward to reading the one I saw posted there thay you wrote. I love a good John story, but am too chicken to try and write one.
