Holy freakin' Moly, was that 'death' convincing! Thank goodness for your warning or I'da been in full blown grief with Sammy!! The way you wrote of Sam's gradual realisation that Dean was 'dead' and his outpouring of grief broke my heart into a million bits. And then while he was so heartbroken, 'John's' abuse...what a kick in the guts *sobbing into hands*

I'm kinda glad the shifter got away coz I want it to go down as Jay - too traumatic for the boys if it was John and more satisfying for Sam. But hey, lets's lay it on the table - definitely more satisfying for me!

Loved the whole wedding ring thing, only a Winchester (and us!!) would realise the significance of John's wedding band, but gotta tell ya...I'm sooo worried that you've plotted another twist while we were asleep with Sam...

Going down as Jay will be satisfying all the way around it sounds like.  What other way could it possibly end?

I'm glad I put the warning there, didn't want to scare anyone away with it, and I'm glad it was convincing.  Poor Sammy is right, but hey, it's about time he has a nightmare or two right?  After all, how many had poor Dean had to endure?

Oh, and as for when they were sleeping, well, that remains to be seen.

Poor Sam, that was a nightmare from hell. Great, Dean figured out right away that John was a shapeshifter. What he did to DEan, poisoning him?Terrific chapter Strigo, can't wait for more. Happy Holidays.

Glad you liked it.  I think you're the second person to go the poison route. Hmmm...

That shifter has more lives than a black cat!  I can't believe it got away again!  I guess Sam's going to have to kill it when it takes the form of Jay---that will be more angsty anyway.

Thank you for spoiling us with another update before Christmas. It was awesome, I so love this story! So Dean only had to take one look at "Dad" to know.... oh, and thanks for your comment regarding my last review. Hm, yeah, why not let that infection kick back in. I want Dean to get better eventually but after all Sam studied law at Stanford and not medicine... So let's see what will happen to Dean, if he needs to go back to the hospital. Besides Sam still has his hands full dealing with "Dad".... and what about Jay? Great story, thanks for sharing this with us!

You are soo very welcome, I'm really glad you live this story.  You will probably get your wish, things are, if you can believe it, going to get a whole lot worse for Dean (imagine that, haa haa). 

As for Jay, you don't really think she's gone yet, do you?

This was a great chapter, at first i really thought tht you had killed Dean i was like NOOO!!

But I'm glad it was just a dream, also i'm glad that the boy know that weren't their daddy.
