YAY--Jay got what was coming to her!!! I'm absolutely thrilled! I loved this chapter. With poor Dean having to be catheterized (again) and this time it being even more painful because of the infection. (((wince))) Poor guy. When he was reaching for Sam to hold on to. (((sigh))) I loved that. Also adored the part where his eyes rolled back in his head and he crashed as his blood pressure tanked. Okay--now what's with that little cliffy????? It's gotta be that he passed out because he found Dean all better, right?? Or is there one more little twist? ((God, why do I feel hopeful at that? I really do want Dean to be better--really--honestly! I'm just a hurt!Dean junkie.))
Author's Response: Do you think I'm weird with the whole catheter thing? There's just something about the thought of poor Dean having to endure that, knowing what kind of person he is that makes me think that would be the worst possible torture for him. Oh well, anyway... All I will say is that Sam did not pass out because he found Dean all better. Come on, that would be too easy an ending, wouldn't it? I too am a hurtDean junkie and I need to throw in just a few more moments of angst in for good measure. I am really glad the ending was a good one, but it's not quite over yet.

WOW Strigo...This chapter was fantastic.I've tried to write big bad Sam before but never came close to this. I have a feeling the epilogue is going to be just as great... ...you've already done a great job of tying up all the plot strands and left us with ANOTHER cliffy... Roll on the epilogue...

OMG, what a thrillride... again! Even on the verge of dying Dean tells his brother that the whole mess is not his fault. You have once again written this brother bond so well, Dean giving Sam "permission" to stay through one of his worst nightmares when the nurse works on him. And "cold" Sam dealing with Jay is just amazing. The way the whole atmosphere changes from warm brother love to a hard, focused Sam is awesome: He no longer saw Jessica’s face when he looked at her, just some ugly supernatural creature that needed dealing with like all the others. I have a feeling what happened back at the hospital when Sam got there... Looking forward to the epilogue although I will hate to see this story end!
Author's Response: I love all the OMGs, they make me smile. I'm glad the whole Sammy part went well, I'm never sure just how to write him when he had to be badass. I'm really glad you liked it, and I will be sad to see it end too, but hey, you never know what will happen in the epilogue, right?

WOOOOOO SAMMY KILLED HER...THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR FOR A LONGGG LONGG TIME...SO WORTH THE WAIT:D...god she's caused so much pain for our boys:( awesome chapter!!!! ...um but i have one question, did Dean actually tell Sam that he saw her or was Sam just saying that to get her to confess...cuz i went over the last few chapters and i'm like thinking im blind now because i don't see it anywhere Dean telling Sam that it was Jay all along...so did Dean tell him or did Sam just start piecing things together?...AND THE END...what did sammy see that made him pass out!!!! and jay is really dead right *raising eyebrow* cuz he jus left her dead in the trunk...but who noes these supernatural things are freaky...plz don't tell me she came back from the dead and went after Dean:(
Author's Response: Dean whispered it to Sam before the paramedics took him away (it wasn't obvious, only hinted at. Not sure what chapter that was either) As for what Sam saw, well, that will be revealed soon enough. Oh, and as for Jay, well...we'll see about that too. Okay that ending was so cruel. Please update soon! Loved how intense this chapter was and Sammy getting rid of Jay. yay! Dean talking to his brother telling him to tell dad he was sorry - that was so sad. Great job! Can't wait for the epilogue...

The way you have kept the tension, pace and panic up throughout these 25 chapters, still laced with true Winchester humour, is an awesome feat..... Just as I think we're one chapter from the end and maybe Dean's on the road to recovery, we're plunged into yet another cliffhanger with Bad being the understatement of the century!! You are wicked but I love it!! I'm suspecting everyone of being a shapeshifter now and I'm still really hoping Sam gets to finish this off in fine style - preferably with Dean having a front row seat to the event!! It just took me all morning to read the 25 chapters of this story. Just want to let you know how awesome it is. You'd think I'd get tired of all that hurtDean you're throwing at us, but I'm not. Keep it coming. I also happen to love Sam in protective mode as well. Great job and I can't wait to see what the doctor has to say to Sam. And I gotta tell you that since shapeshifters are involved I don't trust anyone anymore - well anyone but Sam and Dean! Love this story!

Helen, what an amazing update...again! you write these emotions so well, it feels like we are right there in the ER with Sam and Dean. The poor boy is so wasted he doesn't care anymore what's happening to him... almost: "He may be dying, but he was still a hunter, but this time he knew he was still the prey too." So many touching lines in there like: “Whatever,” was all they would get from him. He was done, completely done. He didn’t care what they did to him anymore. So what did Dean feel when Dr. Matthews touched him? What is she going to tell Sam about Dean's condition? Awwww, what a cliffhanger once again. I am really looking forward to the next chapter. I will be sad to see this story end soon - it's fantastic :)

Terrific chapter, thanks for it Strigo. Dean is suspecting Dr. Matthews to be a shapeshifter or what. Poor Dean, he has no more energy to fight back. What a cliffhanger, can't wait to know what Dr. Matthews wants to tell to Sam, must be terrible news.

Great update, but can he be worst ? Please not let the shapeshifter visit him while Sam is with the doctor. And keep him fighting, it breaks my heart when he gives up. What are you going to do when this story ends????? Waiting for the next update.
