Well, now John knows a little more about which demon killed Mary. Sam is still not ready to forgive his father for what happened with Dean. Poor Dean is stuck in the middle. I really enjoyed reading your story!

"...When you murdered my wife---ouch!  That's an emotional scar that won't heal without a lot of couch hours.  Of all the physical abuse John heaps on them in this chapter, I think that one line does far more damage.

Good chapter in a brave story. I am just drawn to this - the concept of John hurting his kids (physically) is scary. The actual attack on Dean, which you hinted at and led up to so skillfully (with wicked cliffhanger in chapter 2 !!!;-0 ) was amazing. After having the contents of a bookcase dumped on his head Dean STILL debates weither to save Sam or his Dad. That was a nice touch - also the fact that Sam's loyalties are not so tested, and once he registers what's going on he comes down firmly on Deans side ... and his father's head!!! Waiting on chapter four - great story.
