You took a simple concept – silence, and you turned it into a very nice story.  It really said something and the whole feel was kind of poetic.

I especially liked the ending, it was a good way to wrap it up and very simple.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I think I have to give any credit to the poetic feel to Simon and Garfunkel's song which inspired me!

Wow - that was short, intense, and very, very well done. Thank you for that hon. A very nice read indeed, for a rainy day. Or any other day, as a matter of fact....Jules

Author's Response: Thanks Jules!! This actually came to me pretty much whole early one morning when the song came on the radio....

I absolutely loved this one shot.  It hit me in a way no other story has.  Thanks for writing something so amazing.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the lovely review. As an author, the most wonderful thing that someone can tell me is that my story has touched them in some way - thanks again for letting me know.

Ohhh lam. So perceptive and so heart-rending. Loved the notion that Dean might not even want the noise of his music anymore. Beautiful work.

Author's Response: Thanks sooo much for the review! I heard this song and the whole one shot just washed over me - except for the last paragraph which came later. Sometimes I know that I crave noise, but at others I just want the silence....

ow Lisa, sadly beautiful...Lots and lots M&Ms for you...

Author's Response: Thanks Fredo! You know we always wait for your stamp of approval!

I  liked it. Hauntingly sad.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for letting me know that you enjoyed it and it touched you - it means a great deal to me.

This is good. I like the idea that Dean might seek out silence and darkness as an escape from his nightmares of Hell.

Author's Response: thanks so much for the review! I think that Dean is going to find things get increasingly difficult for him as his year draws to a close -- I can barely wait for the new season....

Ohhh...lam, this is beautiful! Soooo sad...but awesome! I love it...overflowing M&Ms to you, dear writer...
P.S. I love Simon an' Garfunkel!!!

Author's Response: Thanks soo much Shiny - and stars and chocolate too!!! I'm so glad that you liked it. I've always loved that song, and when it came on the radio one morning, the whole story just sort of unfolded for me....

Not just an M&M, but a peanut M&M!  Love it!  The reflection and the change in Dean's usual behavior is startling.

The end is marvelous!  Sam lying a wake, listening to Dean's returning footsteps; thier differing opinions on the dawn of a new day.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I'm so glad that you liked the ending. I really wasn't sure about that last paragraph - it was kind of an after thought and then I was going to ditch it. You can thank Kwater that it is still in there!

That was really beautiful! And using that song at the beginning...that sad, haunting song...just perfect!

I'm leaving you a whole bag of M&Ms on my way out :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the lovely review - and the stars AND chocolate!!!! I've always loved that song and when I heard it one morning, it just made me think of Dean.... Not that it takes much to make me think of Dean.....

Reviewer: bulletbabe (Signed) · Date: 24/09/07 08:19 AM · On: Chapter 1

How beautiful is this?

I'm just sad its a one shot, and not a prologue to Sam finding a way out for his brother. Umm Do you take requests?

You have officialy earnt ten M&M's all in yellow!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the lovely review - and stars!!! Love me some stars! This is actually partly a response to someone who requested a sequel to "He's Not Sammy Anymore". That was supposed to be a one shot too, soooo I never rule anything out. I have to confess though, that I have NO idea how Kripke is going to get Dean out of this - I'm a bit nervous...

wow loved it! the song Sound of Silence worked really well at the start too. I like the change you instigated in Dean's character; the whole hatred of noise thing when it used to be what he hid behind-great job!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I heard the song and the story just happened. I think that Dean is going to undergo a lot of changes as this year plays out - can't wait for the new season....

Very nice

*leaves several peanut M&M's*

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review - and the virtual chocolate - so much less fattening....!!!

Glad you left in the last paragraph Lam, also I'll say it again, that's a terrific song.  Really enjoyed this and was so glad I got the sneak peak..lol. Lucky me - K

Author's Response: Thanks Kell - especially for the pep talk - if the other comments are any indication you were totally right - I'm might not have faith in my own instincts, but I know enough to trust yours!!!!
