A very deep insight - Loved it! Your analogy: "words crashed into Dean's skull with the same force as the bullets San had expected when handed him the pistol" - just brilliant, this one sentence speaks oodles for the for the pain Dean silently suffers when his heart breaks. The fact that you had him dreg up all the sad memories affilliated with that emotion made that suffering real and deep. Thanks for restoring the bros relationship at the end - we needed that. Great work!

Interesting story.  I like that you revealed the good and bad memories that cement the brothers' relationship.

I noticed in the above paragraph there is a misspelling of Dr. Ellicot's name.  :-)
