Good to see this one here as well! As you know, I love this. Bryn is great, the idea of them having somewhere safe to go is fantastic, and it was a brilliant mix of humour and brotherly moments. Really in character and well written - good job! :)

I have to admit that I read this on another site and didn't leave a review, so I'm really happy to have the chance to leave one now. This is just a great concept for a story. Love the character of Bryn and that Dean gets that she is a witch and is ok with it and Sam doesn't get it. Loved the cat and its attachment to Dean. BUT my favourite part of this story is how Dean feels safe for maybe the first time since he was 4 in Bryn's place and Sam's statement that he's never not felt safe because of Dean - just gah! That scene is just perfect - exactly the role that I see Dean fill for Sam... thanks for such a great story - I was sooo happy to see it posted here.

Dean's relationship with the stupid cat is great! It's an interesting constant. I very much enjoy reading this story.
You've put a fair amount of research (the plants, the gardens, the designs in the house and configuration of the land and home) into it and I think it shows. Excellent job!

I love that Bryn asked the cat to keep an eye on Dean! Especially since it seems to be doing just that.
I like the way you describe his illness---it seems perfectly horrible.
How sad that Dean's pain returned already. At least he and Sam had some respite.

Excellent beginning! Your writing style is descriptive and easy to follow. I like the way the characters interact, especially when Dean, after being a jerk, asks for a sage wand to stick up his ass.
