The tea had a minty flavor that helped cover up something a lot more bitter and kind of slimy tasting. Dean wasn’t sure how slime was a flavor, but this tea definitely managed it.

“It wasn’t a very good kiss. We held hands during the movie too, thought we were pretty grown up.” Sam was laughing, too.

“You’re such a slut, Sammy.”

“Learned from the best.”

Argh, you are killing me and I'm completely hooked on this story.  Too many great lines to quote them all ;) Kel

Waxing and Waning – MuffyChapter one.Ok so I am so bought into this. What the heck is wrong with Dean? I like Bryn she seems like a top girl and (I know I’m a terrible pain and poorly-ness junkie!) Dean is so HOT when he’s a bit vulnerable.  Reading on!Chapter two. God Muffy, Bryn is a doll! This sense of safety you write about is so real for me that I find myself moved to tears...I’ll let you into a secret...there are about four or five times in my life when I have known that absolute and utter feeling of being at peace. I might struggle to  describe in clear detail the feel of the sun or the wind on my skin at those times, tell you the sounds that I heard or know the colours in each landscape i occupied at those times but one thing that never leaves me is the feeling in my heart. I think that is the ‘safety’ you describe Dean and Sam feeling here and it is wonderful and awe-inspiring. And the true core of that feeling? Being loved...and how precious is that? A lovely chapter, Muffy. I feel quiet tearful.  Bev xxChapter three.OK, Muffy. This story is one that is sorta making my heart break...don’t panic though I think it’s  in a good way! The picture you are painting here is taking me back to the final days of my Mum’s life. It was a terrible and strangely beautiful time and even as I type theses words now I’m tearing up. This slow gradual slide into oblivion, but interspersed with agony is so familiar to me and Sam’s rage and terror and sadness is so the place i found myself then. I have never been more exhausted and afraid in my life and the sanctuary you describe Sam finding here is one I found with the few precious people who kept the terror from me. Thank you so much! I love this story. I really worked to infuse the story with the bright gardens and Bryn contrasting what was happening. Safety and death in the same story. Facing terminal illness is so hard and that feeling of loss can be huge, even as we strive to make the right choices for our loved ones.

I'm thinking of taking my Bryn stories and making them into a series. I love Bryn...
