So, I flipped the coin right...and it decided I should write...but that wasn't happening and well I wasn't feeling like taking option 2 so I cam up with option 3! Reading... So I came back to this very intriguing story and reread the first chappy again and now the second...So this Patrick dude is bad news worse that Gordo???well Gordon sean 2 right lol! Okay now you've got me intrigued even more...but alas I am on busy girl as you said and well I do have to get back to options 1 & 2 as they weren't really options but more...must-dos as you know... But I shall return again and it will be a slow and arduous process but I will get back as often as I can to read more of this VERY well written story! ;) Gen!

You have really done a good job of keeping Sam and Dean in character. Dean willing to risk his life to end it - to save others is so typical.

I'm not always a fan of John's - I think he is often far too hard on the boys but I have to say I liked him at the end of this chapter - at least he's putting Dean first.
Author's Response: I have a soft spot for John, he's one of those characters that I like to think he had his better times as well as his worst, and I prefer to right those slightly better times when he's a father more than a general, he he. Thanks ^_^

Author's Response: Yep, John should have stayed well well away, sometimes these well meaning hunters aren't so well meaning. And I love Sam and Dean's relationship, probably more than any other character relationship ever... the way they read each other and everything... so it's fun to get the chance to play with them.

Finally! i finished reading this and it was great! fell out of touch with the story but rereading the entire thing brings it back, and i must say that it's great to have you finally finish it. Love the story. although it's AU now, i think it's a great plot, and i'm glad that you keep it as close to canon as possible. i like the back and forth timeline that you had in the story, cuz i think it makes for a more well-rounded plot. :)

I finally finished reading this one. You write John very well. He was such a complex character and he made mistakes while raising his sons but he always did the best he could. John is often misunderstood by people but you really get him. He was a tough hunter and deeply grieving man but he loved his children. I absolutely loved how you wrote Bobby in the last chapter. He connected with Dean (like in the real show) even when he disagreed with John. Speaking about characters that you write amazingly, I couldn't help but fear for Sam and Dean as I found out that watching his brother die made Halloway what he was. But I believe Halloway was different from Winchesters in many ways and our hunters would never become him. The storyline was awesome and I think I'm repeating myself but I loved the flashbacks. You're so great at switching between the past and present. Thanks for the enjoyable read once again!

John, I know lots of people have this serious dislike of him but I'm willing to give the guy a chance 'cause I think deep down, he really does mean well. So I'm really glad you like the way I write him and agree with the way I see him. ^_^ And of course Bobby is just made of awesome. I don't even know how he made it into the last chapter, I just heard him arguing with John inside my head and decided I had to put it in. (voices inside my head... hmmm)
It's interesting you should mention the parallel(sp?) between Sam/Dean and Halloway and his bro because when I came to the part about watching his brother die, I couldn't stop thinking about the way Sam was in Mystery Spot, and if I hadn't said the story was set early Season 3, then I was gonna have that card playing. But I'm with you! I believe Halloway is different from our boys on so many levels. And I still really love writing the flashbacks, it's so much fun so I'm really glad you like them. ^_^ Thank you thank you thank you thank you! ^_^ Really glad you enjoyed reading and thanks again for your kind kind words!

great story. i like how you had Bobby yelling at John in this chapter. Bobby has always been more than just a friend. i liked how Dean wanted to protect Stuart we found his soft spot for kids in "Dead in the Water". thought you were going to have John kill Holloway; should have kicked his ass at least.
