Poor John. Being a parent is so hard! As a parent it seems you're never right.
You did a wonderful job expressing both men's thoughts toward Sam an done another, as well as their emotions!

Awesome oneshot. You really did good with your first story delving into the hurt that John and Dean felt after Sam left for Stanford! It was nice to read that it affected John just as deeply as it did Dean!

Author's Response: Thank you! After watching the pilot (again) yesterday, I started wondering how those two had coped after Sam left. It eventually ended up as a story.
