I think it's interesting how if the two don't hunt at all,they don't get along and if only one is hunting, it's the same thing. Just an observation. :)

this was a really creative idea. it's really good and this chapter especially...absolutely heartbreaking. Can't wait to find out what happens with that old lady coz i'm curious about the creature and also if Dean finds out.

It's good to see the familiar Dean pop out when he remembers Sam's betrayed look after the psychiatric appointment.  It gives me hope that they will become the Sam and Dean we all love.

Excellent chapter!!!! 

What an amazing scene between Dean and Sam!  You captured their emotions (especially Dean's fury) perfectly.  I could visualize it so easily.

I like that John is a more demonstrative father.  It's really sweet.

I love the paragraphs that explain Dean's feelings for his family and his perceptions of their feelings for him.

Got a chuckle out of the last couple sentences.  It's just like family to use the same expressions and share non-verbal communication.  Cool end to the chapter!
