Awww!  That was such a lovely story!  I especialy liked what each person's idea of memory was.  That revealed so much about their characters.

Dear Cass

I've been having a bit of a Ridley james fest and I'm really enjoying your stuff.

I find your characters nicely rounded and detailed and the world you have created for them is complex and engaging. I find Caleb, and his relationship with Dean, lovely. It is a pleasure to see Dean relax a little in his happiness at having a 'big brother' to call on.

I liked the way this one built the vision of a memory from all the perspectives of your characters to allow Sam a very thought through final conclusion.  it was funny with an undercurrent of soft sadness, very representational of the boys lives, but nicely it was essentially uplifting

Thanks for sharing.

I absolutely LOVED this. "Wilfred Gordon McDonald Partridge" has been a big part of my literacy life for a long time and I know the story well. I actually went and reread it between reading your fic and reviewing. The story is enhanced ten fold by Julie Vivas gorgeous illustrations. I actually met Mem Fox at a conference a few years ago.

So to find a Winchester spin on it was awesome, BAU spin no less!!  You have made my day!! Your innovation was spectacular *standing ovation* Each of the Brotherhood's spin was perfect for their character. I was so into your side stories: just loved Sam revealing Dean's poker hand, followed by Caleb's immediate "I'm out" - what a crack-up!!! Sammy's recall of Mac's "shoot" translation was special and I just melted at John fiddling with his ring as his memory of Mary kicked in.  So sad, but just beautiful as well. Your whole Caleb-Dean thing has me in the palm of your hand.

Dean's memory of his mother...*sigh* and his touching his baby brother's cheek with your stunning words "If i could find your memories of her Sammy. If I could, I promise you I would" broke my heart in a million bits. Just fitted this story perfectly with a huge dose of poignant thown in. Brilliant!

But the scene stealer was Sam's final momento where Dean is his symbol for 'precious as gold' and then to have the old paster recall his brother was moving. Dean telling Sam that he would want to remember him every day was the best line, simple but said everything. *applause*

I've said it before, you are a master story teller and the Queen of everything Winchester in this AU of yours. Mem fox would be proud  and I bet she would love it  too!!

Holy cow RcJ, that was awesome.  I was giggling through out the whole thing, and I'm really glad that was nagging at you until you just had to write it.  The basket Sam had was awesome, so cute, and so Sam.

I don't even want to know what Caleb did to Dean's twinkie... :)
