Thoroughly enjoyed this. It was a really well constructed and entertaining story with a happy ending. Sam and Dean both happy to be back with their Dad - that definitely constitutes a happy ending in my book.

Long and interesting chapter. I'm guessing Dean and Ian bonding is the calm before the storm. I wonder just how Ian plans to help Dean save Sam. Somehow I think it could just involve him threatening Dean's life somehow.

Oh you just have to love Dean, playing little boy lost to perfection in the mall, and even more for his big breezy return to Ian's home.

I thought I'd read this story from start to finish, but as I reread it, I'm realising that maybe I never got beyond the first few chapters - Why? I have no idea but I'm here now and intend to stay the course. Not sure which Winchester I feel most sorry for, Sam being manhandled away from Dean by Ian, or Dean left standing in a shop doorway and no one noticing. Shopping malls/centres are scary enough places to lose someone as an adult, but to be a child left in one must be down right terrifying and that's without a monster stealing your little brother. You certainly have a knack for upping the tension.

Nicely done. I like how you really focus on the boy's relationship but don't diminish their relationship with their father. I also like that John is in the background and not the main focus. Good emphasis that as long as they support each other they can overcome anything. They should read this story this season, might help them with their problems a little. Thank you.
Author's Response: Heh heh... Yes, the boys are certainly not quite as in sync with each other as they probably were in the past this season! More of a season 1 feel to it really - where they're getting to know each other again. I'm glad you enjoyed this. I had a blast writing it! Probably my favourite writing experience to date!

Great story! You can really see how their personalities were formed from this tale. Made me sad at times when Dean's self worth was at a all time low. He can be like that as an adult too. Good thing Sammy was able to see what he really wanted in his heart.

Awwww....I love this so much. Those last lines have got me all choked up. So sweet. This was really great. Best Wee!Chester fic I've read so far. I just love how you write the boys and their interaction with each other. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of you fics! Kate

Wow! What an amazing story. The scenes with Mr. Oliver and Sam were creepy and well played out- it made my family wonder why I was shouting at the computer screen :). <Dad squinted at him. “You want me to tell you about all the relatives you don’t have?”> This line made me laugh out loud. <Home. Someday.> So simple, and yet it says so much.
