Still with us?  Nooo, I'm running up the stairs to go hid in the bathroom.  Hells bells I have no finger nails left. LOL.

That was nerve wracking, from the walk back from the tyre slashed car to the stiches going into Dean's flesh, ::shudders:: I can't tell you how creeped out I am. That door under the stairs was one place I was hoping Sam wouldn't go.  And it doesn't get any better with that cliffy, I feel quite wrung out from reading this, a cuppa tea is needed.

Bring on the next part, I think, in equal parts I want to read but I'm also scared to, LOL great story you girls, absolutely.

Author's Response:

Glee! Is it sick and wrong that we're happy you're scared?! Hee.

Enjoy your tea; next part is coming later today...

Cheers --

Wheeee! Definitely still with you! What a cracker of a chapter! Brotherliness in bucketloads, surgery with a broadsword, little revelations about Gordon issues and Dean's sporting prowess...... and now Sam's trapped in the basement and a werewolf who seems to have a crush on Dean is prowling around upstairs. Way to go GS and freyja, please hurry back - without delay!

Author's Response:

We'll be back soon, ciel -- thanks SO much for your review. Love that those parts spoke to you. :)

Hope you like the rest - more brotherly angst on the horizon...

Wow, that was really cool! Very very very good! Ah yes, Bon Jovi...hmmm...

Author's Response:

Bon Jovi was all Freyja... not that I wasn't singing to Wanted Dead or Alive just as loud as she was on the way home from dinner that night... ahem... ANYWAY.

So happy you like the beginning and hope you sitck around for the end. If we did it right, it should be entertaining. :)

you know of course you will have to really move this far enough along before KazCon...or i will be forced to take hostages to be released only when story is complete....werewolf stories are my favorite and this one has some great twists and turns....

Author's Response:

Well...  we're gonna post the last two chapters this week... So you might have to borrow a computer at Kazcon. :)

So glad you're enjoying it!! Thanks so much for the review -- we really appreciate it.

Damn that was exciting! I shot thru the first chapter and wallowed my way happily thru this one. Co-writes can be so hard, ya'll are doing a really good job, I can't tell who wrote what which is the sign of a good co-write, it's got a different feel than Gaelics usual stuff so I'll assume that's Frejyas doing. Good for you! I love werewolf stories and Gaelic said this was your idea. Can't wait for the rest.

Author's Response:

Yep -- Freyja is the werewolf expert in this partnership. The idea was all hers and I was lucky enough to be able to help bring the story to life.  --GS

Thanks for the review, T! We appreciate it and hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

Awesome job guys! I knew it was Will! Although I almost started second guessing myself when he kept glancing at the basement door...thought maybe Henry was down there...I suppose he was in a manner of speaking! Can't wait to see what happens next, what with Sam locked in the basement and Dean in bad shape trapped with a psycho werewolf! Don't make me wait too long!

Author's Response:

Haha! Well, Henry was down there... :) And guilt can do funny things to your mind, can't it? Not that we know or anything.

*GS and Freyja suddenly find the floor VERY interesting*

Thanks for sticking with us and hope you like what it to come... always darkest before the dawn, y'know...

You guys really know how to keep up the suspense. Oh dear, Dean weak and Sam trapped. But knowing Dean he will struggle to keep his brother safe no matter at what cost. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

You got it! Dean can't NOT protect his brother, no matter what condition he's in... even if it's simply through words and defiance. Sigh. Love that man.

Thanks for the review and for reading! We hope you like the next parts!

yes, still with you... So Will is a psycho werewolf, interesting, and with Sam trapped in the basement and Dean hurt and weak, even more interesting...

WOW! Just, well, fabulous. Great plot, characterization, etc.....

Will is a creepy enough psycho to give Gordon a run for his money. Loved that Sam realized Dean needed/wanted to hear his voice to push through the pain. Love how you are weaving bits and pieces of the epis in. Love the shout out to Sam saving Dean for a change.

Can't wait to see who is going to be saving whom in the next chapter....

Author's Response:

Thank you, lam! So excited that you're enjoying this. Glad you think that Will is creepy.... it's gonna get a bit worse from here... Well, I mean HE is... hopefully the story doesn't!

Thanks again!

Oh my, that first part was very real to read.  It brought back memories of walking through Green Park, London at 4 am and hearing a rustle to our left, the fear factor was similar to what you'd written, but unlike your bunny ours was a duck and no werewolf, thank god.  Stupid thing to walk through a park that late, but when a copper tells you its a good idea you don't tend to doubt him.

This was very tense, both with the lads and the sheer horror of what might lurk out in the forest.   And Mr Randals odd behaviour towards Sam and the look-a-like-Dean photo of his son.  Does it all tie up I wonder.  Definitely a grand cliffe you've left us with.  I honestly don't want to read on its giving me the willies and I'm having to subconsciously tell myself its just a story... LOL.  Great stuff, girls.

Author's Response:

Oh, I love that you got the willies!! What a great compliment! Thanks so much for reading and taking time to send the review -- we really appreciate it.

Next part to come today -- go turn on all the lights. ;)

I was so delighted to see this here, had to save up some free time so I could sit and read it properly without interruptions! A terrific first chapter.... love the sub-plot of Dean's feelings about the fact that he is still alive, and I'm intrigued by Will.

These lines really resonated with me too:

.....slowly driving Dean to a breaking point, hoping that, like him, Dean would heal through words. And then, when Dean had finally responded, Sam had been speechless.

That was such a frustrating moment for me in the show! I'm glad that your Sam is frustrated with himself about it too. Can't wait for the next update....soon please?

Author's Response:

ciel! So glad to see you. :) Thanks so much for the review. I'm so pleased that you're enjoying this!

Writing with Freyja has been a great ride and I hope the end result is as fun for you to read as it was for us to create.

Next chapter today!

Okay, having Henry resemble Dean was a nice twist...and what a  cliffie.  I WILL have revenge on that one little missy - you just wait until my next post.

Of course, I always love any kind of Dean angst and you all delivered in spades!  Can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response:

Well, you got your revenge with that Chapter 10! *shudders*

So glad you're enjoying this -- and there is much more Dean angst to come... as well as some tough Sammy. Just the way we like 'em. :)

Hope you enjoy, my friend!

Asheville- Hmmm

"The light seemed to be getting closer now and she forced herself to keep moving forward, despite the gnawing sense of foreboding that raised the tiny hairs on the back of her neck." -Love the choice of words

"Careful what you wish for, Sam thought.  He'd given Dean one week... one week after they burned their father on a pyre of memories before he started pushing Dean to open up, to admit to his pain, to talk with Sam about how Dad's death made him feel. He pushed each day, slowly driving Dean to a breaking point, hoping that, like him, Dean would heal through words. And then, when Dean had finally responded, Sam had been speechless." -*sad*

John made Dean watch the burning of a body...

"Dean shot a glance over his shoulder. "Lighten up, Sammy. You're way too tense."

"Tense this," Sam grumbled, holding up a finger at his brother's back."-Ha!"

Dean softened his smile and crinkled the corner of his eyes up a bit. He knew it made him look younger."-It so does!

Weird that Henry looks like Dean.

And now Sam's in trouble! Hmm, have a feeling Dean has a few split seconds to become a human flesh sheild for that one. *whimper*

Awesome work you two! I love how this played out like an episode. Can't wait to see where you both take it.

-SJ

Thanks so much for this!! You know I adore how you review. Thanks for showing us what parts speak to you -- I can see Freyja's grin from here.

And Asheville is a real place! I swear! Although... it did have a teensy bit to do with a name... *wink*

And I think you, Jude, and lam are sharing a brain with the cliffie... :) Hee. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the next part!

Gaelic!!! You're back! And just when I was thinking we'd lost you forever to the VS (great work by the way...) AND now you are a team with Freja!!! Very cool! Awesome story. As always love the insights into Dean. Very interesting take on the whole werewolf mythos - naturally we would be dealing with the worst kind....Will and Henry are very creepy. I'm with Jude - no way is Sammy taking a hit.... Patiently waiting for next chapter.....

Author's Response:

Hi lam!! *grins* I don't have another VS story for a bit... but I can't seem to NOT write these boys, so...

Writing this story with Freyja has been amazing -- she has a fantastic imagination and a very clever way with words. And she's a pretty damn good friend, too.

There's more wolfing out to come, and if we did it right, some good brother moments. :)

Hope you enjoy!!
