What a controversial and very interesting take on Sam's guilt and his relationship with Jessica.  Good thinking!

This is a very good fic, but I am curious about the caller. We know from the pilot episode that Sam was never unfaithful in the traditional sense, or so he tells Constence, who seems to confirm this. So who is this mysterious person and what is their relationship to Sam?

Author's Response:

Glad to know you like it :) It was only a quick little oneshot I wrote about 6 months ago when I got bored, and the song had been stuck in my head for a little while. It was slightly A/U, and preseries, and technically, Sammy boy wasn't exactly cheating. He was still faithful, in a sense that he was simply-innocently- talking to an old flame, I think. I'm considering fleshing this out a little, giving it more of a backstory and such, but I am unsure yet as to whether to do this or not.

So, in summary, this caller was an old flame of Sam's, with whom he still remained close friends with, but nothing was 'really going on'.... Hope that makes sense!

interesting take on our Sammy's relationship with Jess.  THough I have to say I don't agree...but maybe if there was more detail about who this caller was...anyhow it was well written and it has definitely gotten me thinking...

Author's Response:

Hey there- really glad to think you thought this was interesting :)

I don't really agree with the concept either, and it did confuse me, too, but I'm just one of those people who, once they  have an idea in their heads, can't get it out until it's on paper, or in my case, Word. :D

I was considering fleshing it out a little with more detail further down the track, too. Thanks for your review.
