I completely agree that it should be Sam who kicks some ass! I'm really going to enjoy reading that. I also agree with Gaelic....the line about Sam being the only one who doesn't need to fear Dean...a great, great line! I found myself grinning and nodding when I read that! Looking forward to the final part!
Author's Response: Thanks Phoenix. It was always in my mind that Bobby would WANT to get some justice for Dean, but that it would be Sam who had the opportunity to take it - in his own way. I'm planning to submit the last chapter some time today, thanks for all the support!

Awesome! Having Sam do it is perfect. Having Sam do it in a typical Sammy-way will be even better - looking forward to next chappie!!!! I loved Jim's initial reaction to cool off and then his horror at the reality - perfect. Sam really is the only one who doesn't have to fear Dean - unless Sam is in self-destructive mode and then not even he is safe!!! Thanks for another fabuous chapter! Stars and cookies for you!

LOVE the story--but you already know that:) I did think it was a little anticlimatic when Bobby finished the story though. Kept waiting for some big revelation as to why Lenore cursed Dean and then it turns out Dean never did anything except get beat by her husband. "...damn abusers always blame the victim." There is actually a strong comentary in the way you wrote the fact that "nothing happened". Good job! Jim was an excellent addition. The vomiting loop was funny "..Except it really wasn't." Looking forward to Sam kicking some a** oh yeah, and Dean finding out:)
Author's Response: It was an important aspect for me that Dean DIDN'T do anything to deserve what happened, but that Lenore's neglect and her husband's abuse poisoned their whole lives...as it should. And that she blamed that incident for starting their downward spiral. Of course, for me, it's about what it tells us about Dean - and about the opportunities it gives Sam. Final part soon!

*CLAPS* This was fantastic! I totally agree with you -- it should be Sam. GO SAM! I loved your description of Bobby's "lake" -- putting that even as a child Sam could stand up in it just sealed the deal. That was a perfect memory. And Jim's response to seeing the bruises on Dean -- telling Bobby to beat the man to a paste... LOVE! But my favorite line was this: >>There is only one person on this earth who doesn't need to be scared of Dean, and his initials are Sam Winchester. Best. Line. Ever. I could hug you for that one! I love how Dean is so present in this story even though it's mainly told through flashbacks and for the most part, the guy's unconscious! Nicely done - can't wait for the next part.

Not only Dean protected Sam but John too because he didn't want his dad to be mad at himself, Dean was only 10 years old but he already showed a strong mind. Now we know why Dean has a knive under his pillow. I'm very curious to know why Lenore cursed Dean, she saved the brothers from her husband. That was a poignant and so powerful chapter, beautifully written ciel. I'm looking forward for the next update.

I was so caught up in the story that when I started the chapter I thought you made a mistake. 'No, Dean put Sam to bed'. Then Bobby realized he'd gotten so caught up in the memory that he forgot Sam was there and it hit me so did I! Powerfully written! Incredible that something so small as a little scar could symbolize so much. The way that Bobby was trying to keep his game face on and then hurling outside......wow! My personal favorite was how you had Dean put his small knife under his pillow to protect Sam. Aha--So that is where that habit all began. Sorry, I had to rate it a "10", there wasn't anything higher to choose:) (bravo) *slow clap*

Wow, you really know how to break a girl's heart! Reading this chapter was a gut wrenching experience...it was so incredibly well written! I wanted to plant my fist firmly and repeatedly into Uncle Davis's face! I can't wait until next week to see Bobby dish out some justice!
