Got a great recommendation to come and try this story and was it ever worth it.  I laughed myself hoarse at times.  Delightful, funny. witty, touching, horrifying, and a great way out of the deal.  I would have to quote the whole story to tell you what I liked but the constant refrain of this is how we got into this in the first place just kept me laughing throughout.  A sweet read.  Thank you so much.

Phoebe

Don't know what I enjoyed more, the story or the faciful titles!

Author's Response:

Awww...thanks.  Most of the chapter titles are quotes I looked up.  I think the first, second to last and last chapter titles are the only ones not quotes.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

This was amazing.  I printed it out and then read it 3 times, one after another, after another!  I now read highlighted bits whenever I need a quick pick me up.  It was so funny and touching and clever.  Dean made an awesome dragon.  Worryingly, I still found him attractive ...

Just fantastic!

Have I raved enough?

Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely fabulous, from start to finish, and what an ending. I loved the humour, the angst and all the emotions you packed into it. Definitely one for the printer.

Great story! I never dreamed I could enjoy a fic where Dean turns into a dragon/mountain lion/dog, but I did! The scene in the vet's office was priceless! Outstanding job!

Author's Response: Thanks so very much.

Finally finished reading this- so sad its over!                                       I really enjoyed the story-waiting for Dean's next change and poor Sam's see-sawing emotions. Nice way to finish back at the fair, I did a double take at first but it was great. I'm glad Dean found a way round Sam's "arrangement" with the trickster

Wonderful story and a very nice finish. Loved that Dean was able to kill the trickster that hurt Sam using a "technicality". I enjoyed the admission from Sam that he had no idea what it was like to have no one love him, to be scared and feel alone.

Great interactions between the brother throughout the story. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Author's Response: Thanks!

Oh wow.  I mean... WOW!  What a way to end this most awesome story!  It didn't feel rushed at all, just felt like an honest and heartfelt ending, true to it's previous chapters.  So many stories I've read have endings that just rush through or are awkward.  This was beautiful and hilarious and even managed to have Dean killing something - Ha!

I love how Dean seems more aware of his brother now.  He always knew his brother and understood him for the most part, but he's more open to how understanding Sam is of him.  If that makes any sense.  Almost like the psychic connection Sammy had throughout this story is still there, just muted a whole lot.  It just shows how much they've grown in understanding one another in this story.

Loved all the tie-ins with the songs you picked, hilarious!  And I loved that Sam bought the stuffed dragon and put it up anyways as a joke and also I think as a reminder of how awesome his brother was as a dragon and how really - his brother reminds him of dragons anyways especially with the humming thing.  So terribly sweet!

I think it's really cute how childish Sam seems in this chapter!  Like he's gone through practically every emotion out there that one goes through - even lived through death... he's lived a lifetime of emotions and now he's without all these invading emtions and he's left with this childish, playful, trusting, loving attitude toward life... almost like being reborn ya know?  Pure love for all the shy Sammy cuteness :D

And I can't tell you how much I loved the delivery of Sam's feelings about Dean's deal.  How he presented it was absolute perfection!  I keep coming up with little ways that Sam could make it clear to Dean how he really feels about the demon-deal, make him understand and I always come up short.  You delivered it perfectly.  With Sam talking about what it felt like to die again and how it wasn't as bad because all he knew was Dean was there.  Dean was always there.  He was never alone.  Mitchell was truly alone and it was miserable and it twisted him and killed him in the end.  And then you have Sam asking Dean how he ever thought Sam would be any different from him about living without the other, the remnants of the Mitchell discussion still near in mind.  AWESOME!!  It was perfect and Dean got it.  YEAH!!

Well girl, I asked for a story and got ten times as much out of it!  You delivered so much more in this story than I could have ever imagined!  I will never forget each and every feeling I got from reading these chapters weekly.  By the way, I sent myself an email thanking me for coming up with those prompts.  I'm so smart ;)  You are the genius though.  THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!  One day, when I'm not so low on cash (which could be years ;), I'm going to go to Kinko's, print this baby out and then make a cover out of the Banner - bind it all together into a pretty mini-booklet all for me :)  This was so fun and I thank you for all the hilarity, limpness and brotherly'ness involved within!  You made me very happy.  Mwa :*

Very satisfying ending to a very satisfying fic. Loved how Dean was privvy to what Sam was feeling, really understanding the depth of his feelings as well as Sam feeling his emotions. What a clever deal breaker you thought up, very original and creative. "Wanted...Accepted...Home...Safe..."  heart wrenching theme because it was so appropriate. . Many fic writers capture this beautifuly by inference, but you articulated it perfectly, in all the right places so we really felt it too. Well done, thanks for all your hard work.

I always enjoy your stories and this one especially. Great chapter to end with, nice to see  Dean  not letting  the trickster get away with causing Sammy so much pain. I have  a bumper sticker with do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup, so I loved the whole dragon storyline. Look forward to your next story.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, and no way was the trickster getting away with that!  LOL

SUCH A FITTING END TO THE STORY.  DEAN WILL ALWAYS BE SAMMY'S GUARDIAN AND PROTECTOR.  LOVE THE FUZZY LITTLE ENDING - FOOD, MUSIC AND LAUGHTER(ESPECIALLY AT DEAN'S EXPENSE) ....... PRICELESS.
