So sorry to hear about the fires out west. I hope everything goes well for you. Loved the story. You really had a great way of tying everything together. Thanks!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Moira.  We finally got some cooler weather, so our neck of the woods is doing better (more fires all over the west, though...a very bad year!)

Glad you enjoyed the story, and thanks for writing!

I'm always a fan of hurt boys fics, so this was a welcome treat! I'm sorry to hear about the fires near your hometown, let's hope it will not get worse!

Author's Response:

I love hurt boys, too; as well as snarky boys, angsty boys, angry boys (though not necessarily at each other) and pretty much any other kind of boys.  Glad you enjoyed this!

Very good, a story that kept me intrigued right to the end.  So many things to face for them both. Nice one.

Jacq

p.s. I hope the fires go out really soon and you keep safe.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, Jacq.  I always figured they had to have *something* watching over them to survive even the first few seasons of the show!

The fire is now 70% contained, and it rained in my neighborhood this afternoon!!!!

Well done for putting this together so coherently with fires virtually on your doorstep!

I'll be keeping everything crossed no one else suffers the loss of their home (or indeed their life!) from these terrible wildfires - stay safe!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reviewing, Amber!  My brain right now is also only at about 50% containment, so glad the story made sense to you.

The firefighting is going better than expected, humidity is up to almost 30%!, and the smoke is blowing away from the city for a change, so hopefully things will be under control soon.
