I know a lot of the fandom hated the idea of a Dean/Jo hookup in ANY fashion... But I will admit that they could have been cool together. They were peas in a pod, biting snark, similar backgrounds, and same black&white look on the world...
But more than that, they both had a softer side/ vulnerable side that we only got to see later on, that they could haven filled for each other...
I think that's the spot your story hit here in its own way. While I LOVED the sex, the underlying "mental dialogue" just brought that to life even more.
