I really love your Caleb! He really seems like a great character and a good friend to Dean and now a good friend to Sam. Poor Jess, I really feel badly for the girl. I'm not sure if she would be safer away from the  Winchesters or with them? Hopefully, they can figure something out together. Luckily, John and Dean got to California before anything else happened. I can't wait to see what happens next. Biting my nails here!!!

Author's Response: I am glad that you like Caleb! I've written other stories in which Caleb appears, so I wrote him similar to those stories - although I tweaked his back story and changed his personality accordingly. Jessica's situation is definitely unique. I feel like no matter what the Winchesters do, she will be in grave danger. Thank you so much for the review. :)

Yikes! I wasn't expecting that! I hope that Jess doesn't die in your AU. John was right about Sam being in danger (I wonder if he already knows that Sam is in the center of all this). Dean's reaction and how he came to terms with Sam going back to college is right on. At first he's angry and hurt and lashes out then he comes to truly understand Sam's wishes and of course, Dean will do anything for Sam even if it hurts to do so. I just loved how Dean is so caring and gentle with Ben. Sigh... I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Author's Response: I am glad that you are enjoying the story still. I must thank you for reviewing every chapter. It is readers like you who make it a joy to write for. :) You will see Jessica's fate - although I will not give away if she dies or not so soon. Her story is not done yet. What John knows will become public knowledge. No worries. I am glad you liked Dean's reaction to the Stanford news. He needs his whole family now more than ever because of Ben, but would never put his own needs before others. I think that is classic Dean.

Yikes, my review disappeared right in the middle of typing it! I must have hit a wrong key on my laptop! Anyhow...Wow, John sure has a bunch of irate people mad at him! LOL! I love how you tied in Bobby's holding John at gunpoint over what happened with Harvelle (but yikes, in front of his boys! Not so good, Bobby!). And now he has an irate Kate over his treatment of Adam. I hope Kate will be more understanding when she finds out more of  the details of what happened. Anyhow....I'm glad that it appears that Ben will staying with Dean and he seems to be warming up to his new family. I'm really looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Author's Response: I do hate when disappearing reviews happen! It happens to me all the time! John does seem to hit the right cords with people. Haha, the guy can't catch a break! Bobby did do bad when he held John at gunpoint, but I see John as a kind of person who can push everyone's wrong buttons and make them do things they normally wouldn't do. He just has that attitude about him! You will see more of the Kate/Adam storyline. It fits in to the bigger picture of the story as well. Thank you for always reviewing the chapters. :) I do look forward to them. i am submitting the next chapter tonight, so hopefully it'll be approved soon for you.

I really enjoyed reading this chapter. Hmmm...I see this is a couple of years before Jess dies or will she die even younger? Dean is right that it is dangerous for any woman to be around the boys right now. It is suspicious that Lisa died the same way as their mother. Sam does need to let up on the complaining though and try to get along better. I'm glad that Ben is beginning to come out of his shell. Looking forward to the next part!

Author's Response: For the answer on whether or not Jess dies... well, you'll just have to read and find out. :) I can't spoil things for you! Yes, Lisa did die the same way as Mary. That's a key plot point. Sam will eventually stop complaining. Just like in the series, it'll take him a little bit to stop complaining nonstop. :) Glad that you are still enjoying the story.

I really like the idea of Jessica going with Sam to meet his family. Dean is really struggling here along with Ben. It broke my heart reading that Dean is hoping Sam will stay when we all know he won't. Trying to explain death to a 4 year old is really difficult, but I think Dean did the best he could explaining it to Ben. I'm really looking forward to reading the next part of your story!

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind review! Of course, Dean has to be struggling. His character is always struggling, so I had write it to make this story believable. :) The next chapter should be up fairly quickly. I am nearly done.

I really enjoyed the beginning of your story. I like the premise. I look forward to reading more on the new dynamics of the Winchester family.

Author's Response: I am glad that you like the beginning. I hope you like the rest! The next chapter should be up this weekend. :) Thank you for the nice review.

Oh, I really like this so far! It's sweet how you've got Dean putting parenting skills to use that he learned on Sammy when he and his brother were both kids.

On first glance, Dean's right:  he's always on the road, fighting evil, staying in cheap motels and eating greasy diner food --  not exactly what springs to mind when you say the word "father." But when you think about how he's taken care of Sammy all their lives, you've got to think he'd make a really good dad. Ben will be lucky to have him.

I'm looking forward to more of this!

Author's Response: I am glad that you enjoyed the first chapter! Dean would be a perfect, amazing father. We see it every week when he takes care of Sam. The next chapter should be up during the weekend. Thanks for the review. :)
