Well, you have surely fulfilled your promise of HURTDEAN for me. I'm in seventh heaven here! LOL!!! Okay- so now the mystery of the Taggi thing back at Ted's is starting to make a bit more sense. I just sorta knew that couldnt have been so cut and dry- was just tooo easy! And I'm assuming that Dean, Bobby and Sam getting picked out of the crowd there was for a reason as well. It was nice to see that some of the victims are making it out. I thought for a brief second that the boys had managed to find Sherry-Anne and co... but I should have known that was too soon. I can't wait to see what Bobby knows about all this. I still think he knows more than he's saying- about the monster- Dean- the Taggi poison and everything... He's just a bit too quiet for my liking. But I'm trusting in you and the WONDERFUL way you weave a tale! Hope you dont leave us hanging over Christmas- but totally understand if you're too busy. I'm kinda hoping to get something written over the holidays too- if only I can keep the inlaws and family off my back for a bit. Just a little peace and quiet would be nice! Sorry it took me so long to get to review - RL is seriously biting me in the ass lately. :( I saw the comment you left on the last review and now I'm totally worried about Dean... so the Taggi poision isnt all it seems. Well, I guess I shoulda known that! LOL. I'm kinda wondering if Bobby knows more than he's saying. He seems to be covering almost- which is a little strange- he's normally all over Dean yet you have him sort of getting Sam to back off.... Hmmmm??? *scratches head* I loved the Dean-Mark interaction... the whole idea of two Deans- kinda funny... and two brother's Mark and Sam comparing notes on their brother's Dean.. I'm looking forward to what you might do with that. I will say- I about snorted my Mt Dew though- the professior and Sherry Anne.. okay- if you read it fast enough- it sounds like Gilligans Island! (Professor and MaryAnne) So I have a bizarre sense of humor... I still love SherryAnne- love the side story going there and I still hope/think- she's the only one worth getting out of that mess. Tough girl! Alright- now to go catch up on the other story.... I need roller skates! LOL T

You started out this chapter with me feeling like I just wanted to grab Dean and hug him tight. The poor guy!!! Well, I guess we got our explanation on why he didnt want to go on this hunt.... I like the bit of a twist here- Dean's memories of Hell- yet all wrapped up in something so cold and icy- just the opposite of fire and brimstone... kinda not what you might expect. Of course- by the end of the section- I was kinda thinking- okay now I want to just curl up with Dean in the cabin by the fireplace and eat popcorn and watch movies! *grins wickedly* Let Bobby and Sam go hunt down the evil Zalty critter... Besides- isnt the thing gonna go back to the larder soon- its got some serious food stocked up- err well it did.. despite the fact that its food is doing its best to escape. Still loving Sherry-Anne... good thing she has some brains and keeps her cool! Now I'm off to read your other updates! T

I'm still here enjoying your story. I loved tge way Sam and Dean explained the creature in the woods as a genetically modified animal that terrorists could use. I've not heard that one before. I think Sam needs to listen to Bobby and back off Dean a bit. We all know how stubborn he can be. Sam should just keep an eye on him quietly. Poor Sam and Bobby though, think they might have a lot on their plate soon with the creature, Dean being ill and having to get the survivors out alive.
Looking forward to the next chapter and hoping that the craziness in your life settles down soon.

Can I just raise my hand and say that I agree that "Dean's ASS is GREAT!" LOL... Just sayin'... Hmm... where was I ???? Err Yeah... story! Focus.... LOL! okay, so we're getting some answers here. We now know what the critter is. Gotta say- never heard of that one before- some serious points for originality here hun!!! Like the mythology behind it- as well as the almost preditorial characteristics you gave it too- well- along with the repitilian ones... very nice touch. Not feeling so confident that Sherry-Anne & Co. are gonna make it out- although Ranger Dan is still alive... so maybe there's hope. I'm still kinda rooting that Troy and Stu might become the whiny sacrificial lambs they deserve to be.... but I guess thats up to you- LOL. And Dean.... *sighs*... well, now we know whats wrong with him - Or do we? Methinks that was almost a bit too simple? He acquieced too easily? Minor dose of poison? Is that like a simple salt and burn? Somehow I'm a skeptic? But I will try to wait patiently to see if that plays out. Still gotta love Bobby though... You have him sooo in character that I'm just grinning every time I read his lines. I can just picture every nuance of his scowls... snorts... and snide little narrow glances at Dean. Just love it! Good to see that the teenagers are taking the iniative and actively trying to find a way to get out of their situation. I'm particularly warming to Sherry-Anne, even though she must be scared , she's willing to get on with it.
'Dean turned to his brother, and Sam felt his breath catch at the unspilled tears in the vibrant green eyes, the sun caressing the moisture and turning it into gemstones.'.......I had to highlight this description because I really love it, such a beautiful description of Dean's gorgeously soulful eyes.
Bobby knows his boys so well. Sounds like Dean really needs a distraction. It always breaks my heart hearing more of Dean's experiences of Hell. Poor guy is obviously struggling right now with his nightmare and feeling ill. Hopefully Bobby's plan will help Dean get his head straight before the hunt proper.
I would like more please.

Those poor teenagers, looks like they're still in a lot of trouble. Kinda feel bad that they didn't catch a break. How the hell are they going to get out now?

Happy Post-Thanksgiving Hun... I think my brain is coming out of its tryptophan coma... (hmm- maybe thats what's going on with Dean??? LOL) and I can leave a proper review. So- we have a snake-like, dinosaur-ish creature on our hands??? Well, as Sam would say... "thats specific!" hahahaa! I actually loved that bit at the beginning with Sherry-Anne.. She's turning into such a good leader... especially among that crew of hapless creature-feeders... I almost felt sorry for her when they came to the cave opening only to find out it was a few hundred feet off a cliff! I'm still trying to figure out whats up with Dean. Not that I dont LOVVVVVEEE the hurtDean... I'm curious if his current condition goes all the way back to his reluctance to take this hunt and all that intial attitude or is it something more recent. I gotta think (knowing you! LOL) that its just too easy to be related to the knock on the head or the black altar back at the bar... but I'm still wondering about the EllenThing.. Loved the trailgroup... gotta say though- you hit a soft spot there.. love my horses- nothing like listening to a horse scream... - I didnt get a chance to comment on that last chapter- and that whole section with the horses going nuts... tossing the riders around- even before- they could sense the danger long before... It did throw me for a brief second- I had to do a double take when you called them Sally and Dean.... I thought we were getting another chance at a flashback western or something... maybe that was the explanation to Dean's strange sleeping... but no... I should have known better! Now- I'm just waiting to see if Trailrider Dean will meet our hero- or if he's about to become a meal for the critter? Although- I do love the relationship between him and Sally- very sweet! Oh and btw- cool shout out to Primevil and the relationship with Dean and Ben. Nice touch there! Okay- I'm sure I missed all sorts of bits in this one... I blame it on the in-laws sucking the will to live out of me on Thanksgiving... Thats my story- I'm sticking to it! :) Tree

Dun, dun, duuun!! You're so devious with your cliffhangers. Loved this chapter. You have got me well and truly hooked on this story and shall savour every chapter until the very end. I wonder if you have something more up your sleeve concerning Dean. I just have a strange feeling when Bobby said he that he thinks Dean will sleep it off and be fine. Of course it might just be me overthinking it with my love of HurtDean. I have to say that your dialogue for the brothers and Bobby is spot on. I can really hear their voices as if it were the actors themselves speaking the lines in an episode. I am waiting on the edge of my seat for an update.
