nice last chapter Maggie.

To Dean, it was like finding perfection, like finding life again after losing his mom. He knew nothing in the world would ever be able to replace her, to change the life he’d been thrown into at the age of four, but nights like this reminded him that there were reasons to wake up, reasons to keep going. And Valley, Wyoming was his reason. Sam was happy here, safe and whole like all children should be. And Dean had someone, too. Kerri had saved him, let him into her life when everyone else Dean knew had turned him away.

that's in the sametime so sad and so full of hope. Loved this story, thanks for the read.

Such a great story!  I love going back into the Winchesters' pasts and seeing them as children with the Harrisons.

"Whether it was the fact that they were both three or something more..."  Great way to allude to the secret Ev and Sam both share!

Sure---stab us in the heart with that last line!  We know what happens and now we know even more the anguish Dean will feel about being torm from the Harrisons.

Author's Response:

thank you so much for the reviews, shannon. :)  yeah, this was kind of a good-bye to the weechester world of the something lost series. there's just one more flashback story left in the series.

And i couldnt help myself with those last few lines.

What a cute chapter.  I enjoyed your contrast between the life of hunters and the life that children bring.  It really hit me.

Ev's response that she didn't mind getting the floors all wet was so funny!  What a perfect three year old response!

Now that was beautiful!  I love it when justice is served and everyone is there to see it!

Loving this story, it's so fun to see you weave the people that touch the kids life in and out, really gives depth to the story.  Moving on ;)

I´m glad that Anna is on Kerri´s side. Nice writing I really like the bonds between the four kids.

How wonderful!  I've always been curious about Kerri's mother and why the Millers distrusted Kerri so much.  I think this is my favorite chapter because it explains both and shows another level of kinship between Dean and Kerri.  Using Anna to bring out Kerri's mom and compare Kerri's positive qualities to those of her mom was genius!

Beautiful!  You capture Kerri (and Dean's) feelings of being different,  alone so eloquently.  Through you we see how much they want to belong yet dont' want to be like others.

Love the chapter, they need each other so much and it´s very nice to see how they share the weight of knowing how things were, but also getting comfort about finding someone who can understand their feelings. Is really sweet and the toddlers are great. I´ll be looking forward to the next chapter.

He was like a breeze in a crowded room, a sweet summer rain on a hot dry day-- he was something she needed more than she would ever know. - Great update and one I was looking forward to, no one does the wee, wee, weechesters like you ;)

What a nice memory!  I always like when writers bring out the fatherly side of John.  You know he had to have loved his sons.  His thoughts on their fleeting childhood is just like every other parent's.

Mag, so cool to have the kids back! Nice insight of John's feelings about his kids, their lives...

Thanks for the update, I´ll be waiting for the next chapter. As always it´s great to see the boys enjoy a normal life and have friends, specially for Dean.

Nice chapter!  I enjoy knowing Dean and Kerri's thoughts about each other, their families and their lives.

It's so sad that at Dean's young age he believes that he is Sam's only chance for a normal life.

"He needed to let them go, needed to let them be kids, be normal. And, Dean knew, that it was up to him to give that to Sammy. After all, he was the big brother, and that’s what big brothers did." I love this story and all the series, it's so nice to see them enjoy kid's things...
