"myspace for damned demons" LOL

You really managed to create something good out of a common metaphor, way to go!

(I kinda think John would be the one on the throne...)

Wow, what an awesome analogy! So Dean, very clever, your imagery describes Dean with absolute precision.

Loved the line "You weren't supposed to be tortued in your own damn dungeon." Boy, once those demons scale his fortress they wreak untold damage. We've seen and it's devastating. Incredible work.

I see that Sam is on the throne, but I'm sure that from time to time John is there too, Dean portecting wtih just as much loyaly, ferociouness and sense of responsibility.

I can't tell you how much I loved this. It made a big impact on me. Thanks for sharing this brilliant little ficlet.

WOW!!! I love this, so cleverly written, Sam would always get to be in the throne where Dean could always see him and protect him. It shows how much Dean would give up for Sam every time.

Erm, is it Sammy who's sitting on the throne???

Author's Response: Yep! Although a couple people have pointed out that it could also be John....Thanks for taking the time to review!!!!

Not surprised this got feature story. More poetry - and it must be Sam on that throne. I love your take on fanfic, all your work is just so original. Gonna read a lot more of yours, so please keep it comming!!!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review - and the stars, Bullet!! Definitely Sammy - though it has been pointed out that it could have been John too... I really appreciate your very kind words...

Excellent!  Is it Sam sitting in the throne room?

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! Yep! it's Sammy....

Is Sammy on the throne? Umm...???? I feel confused. I really like it though. It sounds like Dean has some serious issues...which makes sense...

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yep. It's Sam on the throne... Don't worry Dean's not too bad off - I live in a castle myself!

Reviewer: sojourner84 (Signed) · Date: 11/07/07 08:31 AM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

Very interesting piece lam! Made me think about all the ways Dean shields himself. I laughed about the clowns...'cause you're right, Sammy would be scared. I would imagine there would be two thrones in this castle...one for John and Sam. Good work! :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! You and gaelic are way sharper than I am - she mentioned it could be John or/and Sam on the throne - I had just seen Sam, but absolutely, John could be there too. We all know that Dean and Dean's defences can be pretty damn scary when he wants them to be - but never for Sam.

Oh, nice - let me guess - is it Sammy on the throne?

Glad to see that this is a featured story, Lam - well done.

Author's Response: Thanks again for the review. It is Sammy on the throne. Actually Gaelicspirit pointed out that it could also be John - which I hadn't thought of as I was writing but makes absolute sense. It made me really glad that I hadn't spelled it out more explicitly!

Reviewer: ThePasserby (Signed) · Date: 26/06/07 12:04 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

okay, that was a work of pure geius. Honestly, that was one of the best peices of writing ive seen on this sight! amazing symbolism, and i love the clarity of your metaphor - really beautiful.

Author's Response: Wow! Thank you for the awesome response. Seemed obvious to me - Dean is our knight in shining armor after all...

Reviewer: stanfordchick (Signed) · Date: 20/06/07 09:52 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

That was brillant and so sweeet.....Sam is on the throne aww you should like do a sequel with Sam's mind or something.....love it....

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Dean was easy to do, having a castle of my own. Sammy, maybe, a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence? Or possibly a cabin in an enchanted wood? Harder really....

Reviewer: Oceane (Signed) · Date: 20/06/07 06:57 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

I loved it. It's Sam who's sitting on the throne. Great work lam.

Author's Response: Thanks you so much for the lovely response. Who else could be in Dean's castle?

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Yep. Sam's on the throne, and Dean's on the ramparts!

Very well done! Yes, I know who the throne is. Anyway, I loved it!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review and the reassurance! I knew you guys would get it as long as it was clear when I wrote it!

Reviewer: gaelicspirit (Signed) · Date: 20/06/07 01:47 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

Maybe not clowns because that would scare Sammy... Awww...

The bit about being tortured in his own dungeon, yeah. Yeah, so true. I mean, seriously, our own dungeons are the scariest places for torture, aren't they?

And I loved that you didn't spell out who was sitting on Dean's throne -- because as I see it, at different points in his life, it could have alternated between John and Sam.

So well done. Thanks for writing.

Author's Response: Thanks you so much for the great review. Yours are always so nice and detailed... Not hard to spot a fellow castle dweller in Dean... But OMG it never actually occured to me, but you are totally right - John would have been on the throne too. And I'm really glad that I deleted the last sentence I wrote where I did spell it out....

King Sammy!

Nice touch on the story!

Hey, that's cool!  Nice job.

Author's Response: Thanks!

Reviewer: ciel4 (Signed) · Date: 20/06/07 02:55 AM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

I've thought for a long time that Sam is Deans' home, and that Dean is Sam's. I think Dean has known that for a long time - although I  think it's taken Sam a bit longer to see the light! So if you're thinking the same way, the throne is Sam's, right? Beautiful job, lam, as always!

Author's Response: Thanks for the awesome review. Yep. Definitely Sam on the throne, and Dean wouldn't have it any other way...

Reviewer: justannanow (Signed) · Date: 19/06/07 10:45 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

A very nice take on Dean's mindset. Everyone talks about his walls but you've taken that one step further. Original.

Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review! I figure Dean's had plenty of time to be more creative than just straight walls....

Reviewer: fredo (Signed) · Date: 19/06/07 10:30 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

yeah, Sam's defnitely the king of Dean's world... Nice little piece lam.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yep. Where else would our knights in shining armour live?

Reviewer: supernaturaljunkiejude (Signed) · Date: 19/06/07 10:28 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

Intense!!! Short but true..........Thanks, lam

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Not hard to recognize a fellow castle dweller!

Reviewer: kwater (Signed) · Date: 19/06/07 10:17 PM · On: A Man's Home is His Castle

Oh, Great lam...of course Sam would have a throne in Dean's castle....Nice...K

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I'm so relieved the throne thing was obvious....
