I enjoyed reading your story again as much as when I read it the first time.  I always love how you write Dean and Sam.

Thanks for the smile!

I love this story. You described the silences so well! Have you thought of continuing this through seasons 5 & 6? They would be great!

Author's Response:

Hey there! Thanks for the review and the stars, I appreciate them!

Actually, I have a whole list of other pre-series through Season 4 moments I'd love to do, but I hadn't thought of Seasons 5&6...mostly because I haven't watched them yet. *ashamed* I just bought Season 5 on DVD, though, so maybe inspiration will hit as I go through it.

If you liked this story, you might like another I have up, "Touched by Fire." I'd love to hear what you think of it, if you check it out--or any of my other stories.

Thanks again! Hope to see you around!

Wow!!! I'm actually stuck for the right words to describe how I feel about this story. I don't think that I could do it justice but I'll try. You have written some beautifully heart-wrenching and powerful insights during these periods of silence for the boys. It really almost felt like I was intruding on their privacy, listening to their innermost thoughts that they couldn't/wouldn't give sound to. I think that this took my breath away. This is one of the best pieces I've read and definitely in my top favourites. Thank-you for sharing such an amazing piece of writing.

Author's Response:

THANK YOU for leaving such a wonderful review and rating on my new story. I appreciate it more than I can say. Hearing from readers that they were moved by something I wrote is one of the main reasons I keep writing. Your review will be cherished for a long time to come.

If you liked this story, you might enjoy a couple of others I wrote: "Touched by Fire" and "Thanksgiving, Winchester Style." Both have the depth of emotion this one does, and both closely examine the things that have shaped the boys and their bond. If you check either one out, I'd love to hear what you think!

Thanks again! Hope to see you around!

What a beautiful but heartbreakingly sad anthology or moments... summing them up so nicely- from childhood (especially Dean) and throughout some of the most painful times in their lives.

I love the poignant and yet colorful ways you painted each timeline... but none moreso than the very end which summed everything up so perfectly... "the most important things... you didnt need words to express at all!"

Beautiful piece!
