Oh.  Now that just broke my heart.  Talk about kickin' a guy when he's down.  Dean finally gets the love and attention he's been craving all his life only to have it taken away.  I'm sure although he knew his dad had to change back into a man I'm sure he hoped his dad's transformation would leave behind some of the genuine, nurturing attitudes that female John displayed.

But I loved it all the same.  It couldn't have ended any other way.  A creative and fabulous story told with Winchester perfect panache. It had the right balance of raunchy male humor, emotional bonding, and sadness, as well as a wish for something that could never be.  You nailed it!

So very cool!  Making john the woman is fabulous!  Love the other changes that are taking place also: the emotions, the interest in room decor, the girly mannerisms, the bit of squeamishness at the sight of blood.  Kudos!

You made Dean seem so young and lost and pathetic.  Poor boy!  We all know that Dean totally depends on his dad.  Now what?  And way to totally confuse him by tekling him that his dad is dead and his mom's alive.  No way does olive-skinned, dark-haired, brown-eyed John look like fair-skinned, blond blue-eyed mom.  It doesn't matter what parts they have in common that just isn't going to work.

And as for Sam, I like how much he depends on his dad for emotional support and to take charge of things when they go wrong.  Just like any son, he's looking toward his dad for strength and to take care of him. That's nice to see since we know how much he and John didn't see eye to eye and argued.  It was cute when he worried about messing with Dean's head.

Hi el-spirito.

Well that's unusual, John a woman! I will be interested to see what you do with this one!

I am amazed at what such a quick little one-shot can convey. Of course- I'm salivating over the Hurt!Dean... but I'm also adoring how well you captured the characterizations of Sam and even cursed/female John... I wanted to laugh - but found myself caught up in the seriousness of the situation- and how in-character once again- all three Winchesters were.

It would have been so easy for this story to take an trip into the outrageous- but you kept it believeable and nearly tragic.... from Sam's stutter of disbelief and fumbling to deal with his dad while focusing on his injured brother, to Dean's confused struggle in the ER - my heart breaking for him as I could only imagine what would go through his mind seeing this woman- hearing Sam say its MOM, but knowing mom was dead and fearing the worst for his apparently missing dad...

and the transformation of John... hilarious and yet... still so spot on. Still that underlying commanding tone...

Very well done!  Now only to get you to write a coda... if only to satisfy my curious brain that's demanding to know what happens next!!!!

That was amazing! Funny, yet exciting and horrible.

 Good job!
