Thank you for taking the time to read. Yes, it was meant to be sad. I drew it from my own experience, and although it's not as dramatic as this I think that's what made the story resonate with me.

I'm sorry but it's just a big deal to me. The Impala is an automatic, that means no clutch. The Impala is also part of the family and it really bugs me when people who write stories with her oncluded can be respectful enough to get that right.

I apologize if the story is not enjoyable to you. The fact is, I don't drive and I know nothing about how the parts differ in an auto or a manual. I have the outmost respect for the Impala, but maybe my ignorance of a presence or absence of a clutch doesn't convey that.
